Unfortunate for Bear that so many additional Brits who climbed Everest before him were also terrific writers: he coulda been writing about rugby or head banging for the sheer inarticulate reporting here. He doens;t seem to reach the same summit that Krakauer et al did.

A thick-necked account that adds not much to the Everest genre.

I use workouts in the binder a couple of days each week when the weather does not cooperate. Every time I have selected a workout I am reminded how much I like the variety between all of the workouts. There are a number of workouts to take up power, endurance, threshold, climbing, etc. Fantastic investment!

I bought this book for my spouse for Christmas. It arrived in a timely manner, and I read the first page. It seemed appealing. He hasn’t had time to read it yet, so we can’t comment.

The book take in says there are six workout plans included. I can find four, and two of them are for triathletes.

Otherwise seems to be a decent resource.

I’ve read better accounts of climbing a mountain. It’s hard to make an Everest incline sound dull, but this writer manages it.

I’ve been using wine tasting notebooks for a few years, and Steve DeLong’s is the best compact note book I’ve seen. Its tiny enough to carry in a pocket, yet each page has plenty of room for your comments. Because of each page’s structure even the novice wine taster will find it simple to review and rate wines as they taste them. The pad even includes a heavy glossy paper guide to wine tasting terms that provide a wonderful quick course in wine tasting for the neophyte taster, and a fantastic reference source for persons who have been tasting and comparing wines for some time. And its is sturdily constructed so you can shelve it when you perfect all the pages and retain it as a reference source for the future. Next time I plot to buy a couple so I have one on hand to give as a gift to a wine loving friend.

I was very excited to get this “book” but I came away less-than-impressed. Not very immaginative and suprisingly tiny. Nowhere near worth the fee.
