At this point there are 14 reviews for this book. All of them could have been written merely by looking at the book’s dust jacket. Each one reads the same: “Invaluable advice! Can’t wait to share it with my son! Wish I’d had it when I was young! Very useful!” Every review would be equally valid for a hundred additional self-help books. Can anyone give me a single detail about it? A chapter title? A distinguishing feature? It’s nearly as though the book’s rating was being artificially inflated by fake reviews. Though it sounds appealing on its face, I won’t even consider buying it until I hear something point.

JR Parrish’s new book establish its way into my hands recently and I took a quick read. This morning the sun was bright, birds were chirping and I was feeling humbled by joy in the simple things in life.
I selected up JR’s book again and ongoing reading the foreword…and proceeded to read the book as a narrative of JR’s life. I felt like what he was adage was a very honest sharing of some feelings I don’t remember alternative up in his first book.
I’ve permanently been a fan of reading about people’s lives, and what they have done with misfortune and the excellent things that have come to them. I got so much out of reading JR’s new book…which included lessons he is still learning and sharing.
While reading the book I was having persons moments when I realize I am really listening (as I was reading) to what a name is adage… not thinking about what I’m going to say and I got that nothing needs to be said. Just take in the wisdom JR shares openly and honestly as he talks about his life experiences.
One might call this a how to book as in how to do life lacking building all the mistakes we might make when we don’t have a name guiding us. Call it a guide book. Whatever you call it, you can feel the desire JR has to share as simply and honestly through his tale telling of personal experience what he feels can help any of us at any age. This book has some worthwhile lessons from a name who has lived a worthwhile life and wants each of us to do the same.

This book is unlike any book I have ever read. It doesn’t have to apply to just graduates, it’s a fantastic refresher course for older adults as well! Everything intuited is spelled out in unadorned language, and is proposed to lead you toward success and happiness. I was mesmerized with the style of writing; such smoothness and ease, and its overall message is astounding. I was especially intrigued with the thought of bringing this book to schools–what a fantastic investment for our youth! It is assumed somehow that excellent character and character building/habits, should come along as we live our lives, why not get some lessons in school, or read about it and learn when we’re young, and THEN apply the lessons as we go? Sounds excellent to me! Thank you, Mr. Parrish!

With fantastic humility, J.R. Parrish offers the wisdom gained from his life experiences. Whereas many blame others for the lack of fulfillment and success in their lives, throughout his life J.R. has viewed his personal circumstances, shortcomings and mistakes as opportunities from which to grow. From his early 30’s he all ears on empowering the people around him through the study of human relations. His mentoring has enabled many people to become millionaires but more importantly they are better husbands, wives, parents, sons and members of their community. He is quick to give credit to his many mentors which is also his legacy in life. His book invites the reader to take a personal inventory and engage in copious learning exercises that he has effectively shared over the years with others. His book would be an outstanding resource for a youth group to chat about with a mentor or as a gift for a new graduate that is ready to go on to a new phase in life.

It is unfortunate to say that today’s children are faced with an enormous amount of complexities yet to be of them. The way to physical, mental, social, financial, moral and spiritual health is perplexing and narrow. The maze of bureaucracy, legality and ethics complicates it even more. This book will teach us how to identify and admit the potential paths that will lead us to privileged grounds and greener pastures.
Yesterday’s standards are expeditiously recessing into today’s liberal idealisms and teachings. This book believes in adhering to the virtues and principles that are necessary to exist and co-exist with others to make the world around us a much livable place.
It encompasses the vital life’s dynamics on “how to make it” in this world for the young and the not-so-young.
.
This book can serve as a life’s quality control tool. The habits to keep and the habits to kick are well pointed out. It is a motivational reading material for an individual who is really serious about achieving success in his/her endeavors.
This book simply says “Let’s go back to basics to conquer the complex!”
