The novel ongoing off excellent but that was it. The hero was introduced as brown eyed and slightly overweight. The next time we see him , he has piecing blue eyes and a commanding presence. It was a very dull book. Dont waste your money

Read the reviews for this, and was heartened by the fact that they were all five or four star. I was really really disappointed by it. The characters were poorly drawn and stereotypical, the plot devices implausible and the basic premise of the investigation being carried out through a reality t.v. programme reasonably silly. The “team” that was place together was so cardboard-cutout as to be ridiculous. The whole thing was just substandard.

I really loved reading this book. It has fundamentals of the TV show CSI and follows the tale of a J.C. Harrow whose family tree was murdered while he was on assignment protecting the president. It then follows his life in the years that follow their death and his search for the person(s) that were reliable for their deaths. Characters are believable and their back tales are explored so that you care about what happens to them.

Yes, I have. Seen it and read it many times in various serial killer novels and episodes of the TV shows the authors wrote for. It is cmpetently done, if a small pat. The outrageous occurrence, check. The Deus Ex-Machina /the TV platform, check. The gathering of the team, check. The formula is all there and the hero is strong and likeable enough to carry the series (for I’m sure it will be a series) forwards. There is just one problem. None of this is distinctive enough to make it stand out from all the others of its ilk. i didn’t once hold my breath as the climax approached. I knew everything would be OK, or else the series couldn’t continue. I’ll consider his just an appetite whetter, and hope that future books will renovate better and more intricate plots, more worthy of the “serial killer” genre. We’ve got the hero and the team set up, now how about a tale?

This was an awesome book. It being a free download made it even better. Quick paced action and a very excellent suprise ending.
