This was the third in a series and lives up to all expectations! Another fantastic book by Prichert

Most of Pratchett’s books have an adult component that is really entertaining. The Wee series not so much. It is an enjoyable romp but kinda loses fantasy creds at the end. Not to say I didn’t delight in it, but his main series on witches is much better

I have three authors whose every title I permanently buy and am never disappointed: Tolkien, McCaffrey and Pratchett. For the Tiffany Aching series by Pratchett, I buy them in audio books. There is nothing so much fun as hearing the heavy Scots brogue of the Feegles. The tales are of consistently brilliant quality. By all means, give yourself the enjoyment of these books!

Wintersmith tells a amusing and engaging tale of young like. The principle character, Tiffany, reacts to the attentions of her unusual young man with a mixture of natural pleasure and rare excellent sense. Pratchett weaves this predictable teen theme into a perfectly crafted fabric with very ancient pagan tales of the progression of the seasons. I bought this book for my daughter with the full intent of reading it myself as I’m a long-time fan of Pratchett’s work. Neither of us was disappointed.
If you’re a Christian parent, as I am, you will certainly want to read Pratchett’s work with your children, as you will not agree with everything he says. Tiffany and her friends are witches–I consider this acceptable fantasy, but you may disagree. Aside from that, this book is honestly inoffensive in my view and offers much scope for both laughter and discussion. Pratchett is a remarkably observant student of human scenery and nearly permanently (though not permanently) a excellent read.

Amusing, and quick-paced. Pratchett continues to delight.
