“Coyne’s knowledge of evolutionary biology is prodigious, his deployment of it as masterful as his touch is light.” -Richard Dawkins
In the current debate about creationism and intelligent design, there is an element of the controversy that is rarely mentioned-the evidence. Yet the proof of evolution by natural selection is vast, varied, and magnificent. In this succinct and accessible synopsis of the facts supporting the theory of natural selection, Jerry A. Coyne dispels common misunderstandings and fears about evolution and clearly confirms the scientific truth that supports this incredible process of change. Weaving together the many threads of modern work in genetics, paleontology, geology, molecular biology, and anatomy that demonstrate the “quick stamp” of the processes first proposed by Darwin, Why Evolution Is Right does not aim to prove creationism incorrect. Rather, by using certain evidence, it sets out to prove evolution right.

There are no reasons left to judge in evolution. There is basically no difference between Lamarckism and evolution, only that both of them are bunk. Lamarckism basically states that if you have a need or desire to change your physical characteristics the change will be passed on to future generations, which is the same as believing that a name who does push-ups their whole life is going to have Schwarzenegger offspring. Don’t read the book, because all you need to know in order to know that evolution is the largest lie in the history of humankind is to look at the take in of Coyne’s book. Lizards wouldn’t glide unless the inheritance of aquired characteristics is right, which it isn’t because all scientists, YES! – all of them, even Ph.D. students know its bunk. I don’t know whether to laugh or weep which is perhaps why I’m doing both and the moment, mournful the gullability of persons who aren’t knowledgeable enough to know the truth. Oh, and in case you thought I don’t know about genetics here’s a small wake-up call for you: Genetics doesn’t prove evolution. Adage that is does is tantamount to adage that me getting fatter or a name growing older is proof of evolution in which case: Darwin didn’t prove anything! Imagine how much time we could have saved if he’d just said that me getting fatter is the greatest discovery since Galileo. It would have saved me alot of time reading obtuse books. Thanks alot Darwin!
Here’s the basic outline of the book:
1. Authors standpoint: “Evolution is proven beyond a doubt, you don’t really have to read what I’ve written because I’m to bone idle to really prove a point which is why I say that.”
2. We are very alike additional animals. (Shockingly enough I really agree with him here) Sure! Panda’s have opposable thumbs, I guess that means that he comes somewhere in between gorillas and chimps? And by the way have you ever thought about the fact that we’re all animals, building similarities reasonably commonplace! Another point that would have saved the leader some time.
3. The only way to prove that evolution is not right is to show a better theory. This is asinine! The absence of evidence for one theory doesn’t necessitate an immediate substitute. God forbid we should really have to do science!
4. Everyone believes it to be right, yadda yadda.
5. No doubts it, yadda yadda
6. We have fossils proving it!
NO we do not have fossils proving evolution. We have fossils showing distinct species and their variations. Adage that similarities is the same as adage “because butterflies and birds both have wings they are proof of evolution”. Besides, the bird on the take in, which I am guessing is Archaeopteryx is a bird lacking question and anyone within the meadow wouldn’t dare aver otherwise. Yes, I admit that lizards and birds have elongated jaws and beaks but in what way would that prove that a lizard turns into a bird lacking the inheritance of aquired characteristics. The fact that one is slightly similar to the additional is just the similarity-fallacy all over.
6. The End. Might have skipped a few. Its hard to keep an interest in such a bogus book.
The line between Lamarckism and Darwinism was blurry to start with and Darwin never showed the “Origin of Species”. His ego was too huge for his pants sorry to say. Now people have gotten the theory into such a mess because of this failure to clarify, rendering Lamarckism and Darwinism essentially the same only that praise is agreed to one while denied the additional in order to hide the embarassingly obvious agreements between them.
If the leader or any evolutionists should take place to be offended by anything I’ve said I don’t really care because as far as I’m concerned the world has been bending over backwards for you guys 150 years too long. No one can support Darwinism lacking necessitating the inheritance of aquired characteristics, that completely bogus hypothesis that no one believes in but everyone is constantly suckered into believing.

Jerry Coyne belongs to the Scientific Priesthood. That means that his opinions carry extra weight and that yours, if you do not judge in evolution, are worthless.
Richard Dawkins, another member of the Scientific Priesthood, wrote a blurb for the book:
“Anyone who doesn’t judge in evolution is stupid, insane, or hasn’t read Jerry Coyne. I defy any reasonable person to read this marvelous book and still take seriously the breathtaking inanity that is intelligent design ‘theory’ or its country cousin, young planet creationism.”
I reflect I’m honestly reasonable so I took a cursory look at the book’s dust jacket today on Amazon.com.
On the front of the book is an artistic depiction of four animals.
The explanation on the back flap states:
“The jacket depicts a chronological sequence of fossils showing the evolution of birds. We do not know whether the actual line of descent included the first three species, but the origin of modern birds nearly certainly involved a sequence very much like this one.”
What is the fourth species? “Ardea herodias, the fantastic blue heron, common today in North America and the Caribbean.” A modern bird.
Wow. What intellectual giants. And some of them (believers in evolution) mock people who judge the Genesis account?
Four animals are alleged to represent the evolutionary chain of birds and the evolutionists are not sure if the first three were really included and the fourth one is a modern bird.
Hmmm.
It seems the Scientific Priests may be the stupid, insane, or ignorant ones.
To quote Captain Kirk in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan:
“I’m laughing at the superior intellect.”
And let’s not forget that quote from G.K. Chesterton:
“The evolutionists seem to know everything about the missing link except the fact that it is missing.”

In the several months since “Why Evolution Is Right” was published, the book has received rave 5-star reviews as indicated by posts to this Amazon site.
It is appealing that Dr. Coyne perceived evolutionary biology as an ongoing and never ending war, but there was arguably small discourse on the causes of the war additional than the book’s overall perspective that a helpful end to the war involves better understanding of evolutionary biology by persons who are not properly informed.
Reviewer’s comments frequently follow the main points that Dr. Coyne listed as the six components of evolutionary biology with evaluations generally concerning the quality of presentation. There was a minimum of what might be referred to as probing questions.
But there was one notable exception. Dr. Kevin Padian (paleontologist at the University Of California, Berkeley) offered the following:
“Based on the title of this book I would have expected a bit more engagement with the philosophy of knowledge. How do we know something is right, and what do we mean when we say something is right? What would make us abandon our claims, and accurately, would we ever do so”?
Is there more than “meets the eye” in this comment? Could Dr. Padian’s observation be interpreted that the book did not provide sufficient reasoning as to why evolution is right? With the suspicion that there were deeper implications, it was an adequate motive to order the book.
In a recent symposium (Arthur M. Sackler Colloquium of the National College of Sciences, “In the Light of Evolution III: Two Centuries of Darwin), Dr Elliott Sober (Hans Reichenbach Professor and William F. Vilas Research Professor at the University of Wisconsin – Madison), in reference to scholars’ stupefaction concerning Darwin’s statement “one long argument”, made the following comment:
“Thinking about this requires that a question about logic be separated from a question about speechifying.”
For persons who are inclined to peer through the speechifying and into the reasoning behind Dr. Coynes explanations and examples, the book offers a gold mine for exploration.
One key to the examination is not what the book says but what it doesn’t say to support the aver that evolution is right, with the basic emphasis on “speciation.”
A review of the book provided reasonable justification that there was a need to examine Dr. Coyne’s explanations from an expansion of what Dr. Padian termed “philosophy of knowledge.”
This examination was initiated via a blog under the banner:
DARWIN’S HYPOTHESIS: IT’S ABOUT PHYLOGENETIC”TREES” (isn’t it?)
This blog can be accessed at:
[...]
The blog will feature periodic episodes to examine, with an “eye on logic vs. speechifying,” if Dr. Coyne’s explanations of the six principles of evolutionary biology were sufficient to “make us abandon our claims,” “us” being persons who question the plausibility of how Darwin’s hypothesis relates to the formation of different body plans.

Like so many books on evolution, the leader asserts the debate is over in order to try and silence critics. It amazes me that people keep trotting out natural selection and mutations as proof of evolution. For crying out loud even creationists judge in natural selection/survival of the fittest, because the off spring are still the same kind. Here is THE KEY to why evolution has never been proven. There has never been the demonstration of an INCREASE in genetic information. Some will mention the tsetse glide as proof. But that is not right, it was really a mutation of existing genetic information. Lacking this KEY, it is impossible to judge in life evolving from a single cell. Check out these books: Darwin’s Black Box, The Darwin Myth and Darwin’s Enigma.
Could you imagine the horror if evolution came apart at the seams? Bummer, you’d have to admit that you were made, and not here by random chance. And if you were made, you’d be accountable to your creator. That is why the godless have a death-grip on evolution.
