This book came highly recommended. I went to the book store to find it and was very surprised that it was listed in the “Metaphysical” section between “atheism and witchcraft”. A friend of mine checked at her book store and establish it in “new age”section. A book about God will be establish in the religious section. I started to read the forwards and was surprised to be told (before the book even started)that we could become more in tune with “our spiritual guides”.
God doesn’t “wink” so that coincidence can take place…how absurd. He knows the very number of hairs on our head…why would he “wink” and let us have coincidence? The plot for our lives was set before we ever drew breath. Spirit guides are not from God.satan is called the GREAT DECEIVER for a reason.Reference to God is used just regularly enough in this book to “deceive” people into thinking that this book will benefit them in some way mentally.
I reflect it is incorrect to add the word God to a title simply to sell more books.
This book appears in the Seminary library as an example to bible students of what to be careful of. Christians must become more discerning.satan is alive and well. his followers will do anything to make a believer stumble.
This book is not what it appears.
Footnote…at the end of time…God wins…

The title IS very illusory. I bought the book thinking it was going to help me see life diffrently, it didnt. The leader seems to be using the word “God” to get the attention of a christian audience and thats about all. Relates “god winks” to divorce, and walking out of a marriage. Last time I checked God wasnt a proponet of persons things. The leader uses these as examples to reprsent a change in life that God is promoting.. The book does have u reflect about conicidences a small more, and might have u reflect more deeply into them, but thats about all. I would NOT reccomend this book to a new christian or a struggling christian. It takes all the focus onto the individual and not God. The only thing excellent about the book is that it is a quick read, and offers appealing tales every now and then. Beware..dont be fooled!

Malcolm Gladwell covers the theme from the psychological perspective in, Blink: The Power of Thinking Lacking Thinking; while Squire Rushnell covers the theme from a supernatural standpoint. Although Rushnell’s piece is certainly more romantic, the antithesis is so much more grounded in research.

All puns aside, this book nearly had me winking myself to see if I could make coincidences in my life, or the lives of persons around me. I couldn’t. But I never knew that when such things occur, it is simply God winking. Now I also stand stalwart in the belief that thunder is simply God moving his furniture, that rain is God crying, that lightning is God trying to strike dead all the blasphemers and that…well, I haven’t yet establish a purpose for God’s sneezes or additional bodily functions yet. But, give me time. What a wonderful book. Thank you!
