This book is not only useless but also insulting to women with formula fed infants. I establish that while searching for information, a condescending tone was taken regarding what you feed your baby for EVERYTHING you look up.
Not all women breastfeed.
It was the middle of the night, I was apprehensive about my newborn and threw this book in the garbage out of sheer frustration!

When I bought “What to Expect the First Year,” one of the things I was interested in was advice regarding whether or not to circumcise my unborn son. My research shows that the procedure is increasingly viewed as medically unnecessary and that, rumor has it that, uncircumcised men are not at a greater risk for HIV, cancer, etc. Sorry to say, I felt that this book did not do justice to this topic. It would benefit parents to research this vital topic in greater depth than the information provided in this book. After I went online and establish the book I wanted and paid for the seller said he didn’t have the book. He did refund the money but a hassle! Had to look again, order and pay for new book. VERY inconvenient!!

I like the Whole Series.. Kibbled_bits “-Kibbled_bits” – I am frightened for your children. I eat red meat.. and I have a child that is wonderful. I do judge in spanking.. and I am well educated.. despise tofu.. But.. I reflect this series is wonderful!! I have recommended it everyone I know.. Especially young teenagers who are pregnant and frightened.. the “What to Expect When You are Expecting” Gives them the real facts and doesn’t make them feel guilty if they place their child up for adoption.. or keeping it. They are objective and real. Which is more than I can say for your opinion. I applaud Heidi for being honest, straight forwards and informative. I also have reccomended it to new and ancient parents. My sister read it.. and she is about to be a grandmother!!!! She has three kids!!! So.. I like these books.. and personally feel better reading them. We are going to try to have another baby soon… Read them again.. Why is it that even the terrible reviewers say.. (besides Kibbled_bits “-Kibbled_bits” ) that this is a excellent book? hmmm..
