I don’t like the size of the book. It is square and not like additional books. It should be more rectangular.

The instructions look simple, but in the introduction, the authors add a lot of extra precautions that ultimately make the product hard to make. My family tree and I were not pleased with the results and the ingredients aren’t all that healthy.

I borrowed the book from library trying to take a look at the recipes before deciding to buy one. Looked at most of the recipes, one thing caught my eyes — most of the recipes call for 3/4 or a full cup of suger! It’s right that they don’t contain dairy but such a mount of suger is not healthy even in baking.
If you already have a baking recipe book, learn to substitute unwanted ingredients (like using rice milk for milk) and cut down the overdozed ingredients like suger or stout. For example, my daughter (11 years ancient) recently pulled out a muffin recipe from the Betty Crocker cook book – substituted any stout or butter with lime oil, milk with rice milk, suger with honey or apple sauce, white flour with oat flour, and cut down the suggested suger (substituted with honey) amount by more than half. The result was the best muffin we have ever had – tasty and healthy!
So I won’t buy this book.

This was the first cookbook I bought after going lacto-vegetarian. I permanently turn to one of these trusty small recipes when I find a name in my life who thinks vegans can’t have anything tasty. I like the pictures in this book too! Since building your food look as excellent as it tastes is very vital (IMO), I establish the plenty of pretty photos inspiring. But, not every recipe gets its picture shown, and even though that’s normal in cookbooks, I find it unwarrantable in desert books!
I couldn’t give this a perfect score because I selfishly wanted more pictures, recipes and there’s the whole issue with Isa not really being lacto-vegetarian. I would have past this book by if I would have known yet to be of time that one of the authors eats animal products whenever the fancy strikes her. It just seems a bit hypocritical to be building money projecting yourself as something you’re not.
