Product Description
Since coming to Crossroads, Oklahoma, ex- outcast Aden Stone has been living the excellent life. Never mind that one of his best friends is a werewolf, his girlfriend is a vampire princess who hungers for his blood, and he’s supposed to be crowned Vampire King—while still a human! Well, kind of.
With four—oops, three now—human souls living inside his head, Aden has permanently been “different” himself. These souls can time-travel, raise the dead, possess another’s mind and, his least favorite these days, tell the future.
The forecast for Aden? A knife through the heart.
Because a war is brewing between the creatures of the dark, and Aden is somehow at the center of it all. But he isn’t about to lie down and accept his destiny lacking a fight. Not when his new friends have his back, not when Victoria has risked her own future to be with him, and not when he has a reason to live for the first time in his life….

Unraveled wasn’t really what I expected after reading intertwined. Not that it wasn’t a excellent book, it was. It just had a lot of sidelines going on that made it a bit hard to keep track of. The writing and characters were as fantastic as ever but the book left me with a lot more questions (and a bit frustrated) then Intertwined did. With that said, I still loved the book immensely!
Aden still has 3 personalities in his head, Eve left once her identity was learned. He still remains with Victoria, the vampire princess and is now the Vampire King. He still lives at the ranch and attends school along with being ‘haunted’ by an mad faery that Riley ‘dispatched’ of. Aden has agreed, as his new role as Vampire King, to court additional vampire royalty women to show that he is giving others a chance, as befitting his new role. This causes a bit of stress on his and Victorias relationship. Aden seems to be nearly a secondary character in this book with his best friend Mary Ann taking front and center. Mary Ann has a gift of quieting the personalities within Aden and it’s the only peace he gets. Sometimes he craves ’silent’ and it’s hard to have that when you have 3 additional voices chattering inside your head, not to mention an mad vamp hating faery ghost hanging around.
Mary Ann and Riley are heating up and she is learning self-defense, which shows she’s growing out of the damsel in distress role and apt more self-reliant. She has questions that need to be answered and they don’t really get answered fully in this book. Her best friend Penny and her ex, Tucker make appearances in this book and where Tucker goes, distress follows. Mary Anne also has another gift that is a surprise but you’ll have to read the book to find out!
All in all, the book held the same sense of excitement and suspense. It leaves plenty of room for a sequel because there’s many unanswered questions that I need to have answered! I loved the book and I recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal romance and intrigue!
There are additional characters added to the new book which makes it both more appealing and also a bit more confusing. There is just about every paranormal element represented in the book but most of the relationships to Aden and crew haven’t been tied up yet.
A lot of questions were answered in Unraveled that originated from Intertwined and that was satisfying.

Aden Stone is not your predictable teenage boy. He has a vampire princess for a girlfriend, a werewolf who is his best friend, and, oh yeah, he also has three souls who he shares his body with.
When we left Aden in Gena Showalter’s last book, INTERTWINED, he had killed the vampire who murdered his girlfriend’s father. Sound confusing? It’s really not. He who kills the King of the vampires, becomes the new King of the vampires. Even though Aden is human, he’s now also the new King.
As if being King wasn’t enough, there are things happening that are going to make it even harder for Aden and Victoria to be together. Mary Ann’s ex-boyfriend, Tucker, is back causing mischief. Aden, with help from Victoria, is learning about the vampires that he now rules. There is also a name who wants to do Aden harm – a name who is closer than he thinks.
There were questions that were raised in book one that we get answered here, but there are even more questions raised in this new tale. It was so nice to get insight into the characters introduced in the first book, though. Ms. Showalter has a knack for making characters with fascinating lives. More importantly, she has a way of building you feel for her characters, even the ones that you would rather despise.
INTERTWINED was so exciting that you had to marvel if she’d be able to hold up the quality in this next book. Well, she did, and this is one reader who is certainly looking forwards to the rest of the tale. Although I must say that I loved book one more, UNRAVELED really doesn’t disappoint.

Aden/Victoria and Riley/ Mary Ann are back again to deal with Fairies, Witches and family tree . Oh My.
This book was longer than the first book and since this is the second book it did go the tale along but only by a week or two weeks after the first book.
Aden is now king of the Vampires and has many more responsibilities and Victoria is helping him is new role.
Riley and Mary Ann are having romantic problems in their new relationship and it seems that Mary Ann has a new power that wrecks havoc on everyone in excellent and terrible ways through the tale.
Why did I want to read this book ?? I wanted to know what happened with Riley & Mary Ann. We see glimpses of Tucker and Penny and there wasn’t much of going to school . Aden seemed to asleep alot of the tale line which isn’t excellent for the character. We do learn more about Shannon from the boys ranch. Three souls are still in him and we learn more about the witches and Caleb.
I like to read all the pages of the book including the thanks and this book had a table of contents of all the characters which was needed at times. To me this book seemed hard to write for Gena and with so many new characters and my hopes for the for what I thought would take place–didn’t take place.
Glad to see that this is PG-13 book but there is talk of taking the relationships to the next level with Riley and Mary Ann and Aden/Victoria. There was lot of fighting and trying not to die with was foretold by one of the souls about Aden. Mary Ann become a stronger girl and glad that she was able to grow in her friendships with Victoria and Riley

As I have said before in previous reviews, when it takes so long for the next book in a series to be unrestricted, you forget who the characters were and what exactly was going on. So, having said that, it was helpful for me to go back and re-read the last chapter of Intertwined, then Unraveled selected up pretty much where the last book left off. I was still confused for a while but the leader did do some run through which helped. Well, there were some tears shed for me in this book, especially near the end. I agree with previous reviewers who said for as many questions the leader answered in this book, there were several more unanswered. I have no thought how many books are plotted for this series, but the leader has yet to explore who Aden’s parents are, and has also place off finding out who the souls are, though we are a small closer with finding out who Caleb may have been. There was a small more action and romance in this one, which I loved. Overall, it was a excellent book and I would recommend it. There will obviously be more books in this series to come.

I loved the first book in the series Intertwined. While this book still carries over a lot of what I loved from Intertwined I establish it missing in a few ways that scratched the book’s overall potential.
A sequel to Intertwined a book were Aden Stone is introduced as a boy with four, now three souls trapped in his head. They are Elijah, Caleb, and Julian. They give him the ability to Raise Zombies, See the deaths of persons around him (including his own!), Time travel into previous versions of himself, and finally possess the bodies of persons around him. Aden is also dealing with the consequences of killing the Vampire King (which is that he himself is to become King). His reason for doing such, is that lacking this he wouldn’t have been able to stay with the like of his life Victoria. Victoria who as a vampire princess is struggling to become more human, so that her and Aden may live better lives together. While Mary Anne is Aden’s best friend is also struggling with her ties to the supernatural world. Such as the fact that she seems to be the only thing that makes the souls in Aden’s head go away, thus acting as a damper to his abilities. Giving him the peace he has sought after for so long
My main problem is Mary Anne. While Mary Anne’s seemingly helplessness is a wonderful contrast towards Aden’s tough guy routine, I feel that the choice to write a tale based more on Mary Anne wasn’t the greatest choice. This is because through the whole book Mary Anne constantly felt like a third veer. There were times when I just wanted her to go away. While she is a nice character to read just going from Aden to her is not a excellent transition. But at the same time i also felt a want for Mary Anne to get stronger and make it through, building me really feel for her point of view.
Aden is this books real selling point. Aden is a strong person who never backs down, never surrenders, and never stops fight for persons he likes. He is an incredible character to read about and you get a real sense of might from him in a way that you can’t say about any additional character you might have read about. He is unique and the book is worth reading just so you can learn more about him.
This book does a nice job of answering all the questions of the first book. But my problem with this is that for every loose end Gena Showalter ties up two more spring up which will have readers coming away from the book hungry for more but at the same time confused as to what just happened. The book kind of just ends in a fantastic confusion that I feel needed to be more elaborated on.
My closing thoughts on this book is this. If you loved the first book, and was keen to have the questions questioned in the first book answered, this is well worth getting. This has to be one of my all-time favorite series period full stop. By the time you place down this book you will be searching for any clue or hint for when you will get to read the third installment in this series, guaranteed.
