bought this book along with the Milepost for the drive up to Alaska. Im not an rv’er by any means and permanently looking for the cheapest and most primitave place to tent or car camp. This book is awesome because it helped me to know which places to stay away from and which ones best will suit me (though it would be the same for the rv’er). I make the drive in a couple weeks and this along with the milepost this seems like a must-have. Also it was excellent to get to the Alaska section of the book. . . back to FREE camping!! also fantastic info on fishing too!

I loved this book on our recent trip to Alaska. It was extremely helpful and I permanently knew where we were at. I like how it identifies what is available to do around the campground. I would highly recommend.

A fantastic book for anyone preparation on camping in Alaska. Gives fantastic in depth details on all the campgrounds from fee’s to size of rigs to leader’s personal opinion on campground. Wouldn’t want to go to Alaska lacking it.
