This is a nice, compact book, but it has no depth. I would recommend saving the $10 and applying it to the fee of a more thorough guidebook, although it is fun to look at. I’m guessing that one could Google top ten lists in each of the categories in the book and find the same information.

Got only a day to sepnd in Athens like we did. Then this pocket size travel book by DK is excellant. It has top qualaity printing and pictures and gives fantastic amounts of information about the main sight seeing sites in Athens.

The Top 10 Guides are really my favorites once on the ground in a new city. The are especially excellent to carry around because they are so tiny and the maps that are provided are accurate and simple to use. The guide for Athens was no exception. I read this and paged through it randomly before I left for Greece and felt that I was pretty well prepared once there to navigate around and hit the highlights in a honestly compressed amount of time. DK does a really nice job with these and I’d recommend them to any first time visitor. The books are nicely illustrated with photographs as well.

This book was very helpful. The compactness of the book was fantastic, it was simple to carry and stow in the back pack. The information was very acurate. It was a fantastic benefit to have.

Just returned from Greece. Book was handy to carry and very accurate. Nice to know the hours and days that a destination is open and available to visit before you waste time getting there and find out it’s clogged. Maps were accurate and simple to follow. Comments were right on target. Should be updated to reflect the opening the new museum that opened in June – fabulous to visit. Cab drivers are much worse than book indicates – should be a special warning about their tactics.
