Product Description
This book is not about discipline, nor problem children. The emphasis is on the training of a child before the need to discipline arises. It is apparent that, though they expect obedience, most parents never attempt to train their child to obey. They wait until his behavior becomes unbearable and then explode. With proper training, discipkine can be cut-rate to 5% of what many now practice. As you come to know the difference between training and discipline, you will have a renewed vision for your family tree-no more raised voices, no contention, no terrible attitudes, fewer spankings, a cheerful atmosphere in the home, and total obedience from yur children.

If more parents would heed this type of advice, children these days wouldnt be the drug addled, slack-brained, undisciplined , potty mouthed monsters that they are today.
Parents these days are dreadful. No discipline, No respect, no values.
I am a firm believer in spanking. Anyone who does not spank a child when they deserve it is a fool..and is unleashing a problem on humanity that a name else will have to deal with.

This book is full of Godly wisdom. The authors acurately interpret the Bible and help us to know what God wanted us as parents to do in order to “train up” children and help them grow up to be well adjusted, content individuals. I establish this book when I had a “terrible two” with a “strong will”. Additional books told me there was nothing I could do with a “strong willed” child, but here I establish real solutions that make sense. I did not give the book 5 full stars only because the authors did not make their method of “tying strings of fellowship” with the children as obvious in this book as they do in their additional resources. This is an vital and really vital part of the parent/child relationship and someimes this book is misinterpreted because this key component is not stressed.

I really loved reading this book gaining lots of insight into training my children. Personally there were a few things that I didn’t like but I just overlooked that and didn’t apply it to our lives. It’s one of persons books where you take from it what works for you and place the rest.
After putting just a bit of training I received from the book, I am really enjoying my children now. They are more obedient, but the book also taught me how to chat about behavior with my children.

This is the most balanced of all parenting books. It is not a formula, but as a replacement for an attitude shift for parents that will transcend to their children. It really is a book on parent-training. It stresses the importance of time with your children…truly fellowshipping. The discipline advice is simple to administer, not long drawn out address/spankings. It is based on biblical truths, so if you don’t judge the Word of God….meaning….the WORDS in the Bible…don’t get this book. If you judge the Bible really means what it says, and commands parents to use physical force for discipline and training, then you won’t need to read any additional book on the theme. This has it all. I have seen homes transformed within a matter of weeks after the parents read this book. More than changing their children’s behavior (which it did), it changed the parent’s behavior as well. A MUST READ for any Christian parent who views their job as the most vital they will ever have here on this planet. My spouse and I are in our twenties, and have five children under 6. Would we have so many children close together if our children were disobediant and whiny? NO, we would not. This book has been a fantastic encouragement to us in our childrearing.
The additional reviewers who left negative reviews must not have believed or followed the advice in this book. If they had, they would be enjoying their children more than ever before, and their children would be the most pleased they’ve ever been. The effects of so-called “gentle parenting” (i.e. no spanking) are now evident in our society, aye? No thank you. We don’t want to raise whiny brats who have no respect for power.
One last thought… The authors of this book have raised 5 children. The children are adults now, and they all like the Lord, NEVER rebelled, and three of them are married to godly spouses (the additional two have not yet married), and are raising their children the same way they were raised. Why? BECAUSE THE WAY THEY WERE RAISED WORKED! If you doubt the affects of this type of child rearing, why not read their oldest daughters book, called, “Rebecca’s Diary”… it’s her diary from when she was a lone missionary in her early twenties in New Guinea. The proof is in the pudding, and it’s in that book. No one can argue with that.
