OK I have a few of don caseys books, including the original this ancient boat. Wonderful book, 5 stars.
But to charge 29.67 for the kindle edition makes me marvel who is smoking what. There is no way, additional than the desire for greedy profits, that a electronic version of a book should cost nearly as much as a hard take in version with its glossy photos and such. No. So why I want to have this copy, there is no way I would pay that much for it. And since I like the thought of what the electronic book brings to me it is just to terrible a name whats to just make a large killing.

This is the restoration bible, primarily oriented toward sailboats, but also applicable to powerboats. The leader has both feet planted in reality and doesn’t dwell on the “sailing mystique”. Just the facts, the excellent with the terrible, and permanently light and readable. His experience is invaluable for persons of us pouring over catalogs and wondering how and where to start. He takes the mystery out of fiberglass care and repair, brightwork restoration, paint, electrics, engine maintenance, canvas design, plumbing, and all of the stuff that seems unduly complex. The book gives you the confidence to proceed with repairs lacking feeling “frozen” by myth and complexity.

This book is what it says it is with every repair known reviewed in one way or another. Each part of the repair process is clarified in theory and practice so you know the whys along with the hows.
Why should spreaders be diagonal? How to make a drip type stuffing box into a dripless marvel? Use a thinwall brass tube to pump oil from the sump as a replacement for of rubber. Use reversed masking tape to remove loose bristles from your paint brush. He touches everything I wanted and more than a few I’d have never thought of.
It’s just the best book on all-purpose care and feeding of your boat to keep her pleased and the skipper on the water.
