Walking Dead Book 3 Hard back is missing two comic issues, according to the copy I have received from Amazon. I would recommend purchasing the comic books individually than get cheated in purchasing this hard back. The missing issues depict the main characters encountering a nearby town, then cruelly tortured and maimed by the administrator. The scenes in persons missing issues are graphic and I guess that’s why they have not been included.
The storyline is fantastic. I must give the hard back one star for missing issues– that is only the Printer’s fault.

The Walking Dead graphic novel series is an outstanding tale for fans of the “Romero” school of the zombie apocalypse. There are no sprinting zombies or special infected undead from “Left For Dead” here. These are rotting creatures that seek human flesh. This tale is a drama/horror of a group of survivors and progressively gets darker and darker. I’ve been following it for 3 years now and am fully entertained every time. I prefer the first issues/volumes for when the outbreak first happens, but these later ones are fantastic also. This is NOT a series for young children. A fantastic buy!

Language generally about the entire series so I don’t give anything away… Lets just say that I honestly can’t remember the last time words and images had this huge of an impact on me. I work at a comic book store and I read everything. Honestly. My @$$ is kicked. This book has made the largest impact on me than ANY additional series I have read. YOU HAVE TO READ THE WHOLE THING. Kirman slows down the tale from time to time but only if its necessary, and then pulls you right back in. You are in excellent hands. This book has EVERYTHING! If this review is the one that talks you into reading the series… your welcome =o) trust me.. you will want to thank me later.

Any fan of zombie fiction will get a kick out of Rob Kirkman’s masterpiece, The Walking Dead series. Originally(so glad to not have to buy each individual volume now!) but the hardback is wonderfully sturdy. Altho this third book gets even more disturbing with the introduction of some really seriously messed up dudes and everybody just might be going a bit psychotic, Kirkman’s storyline just keeps on getting better. Must have for zombie fan!
