Amazon.com Review
The BBC Radio production of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is a delightful two-hour sail on the most fabulous ship in Narnia. Lucy and Edmund, with their dreadful cousin Eustace, get magically pulled into a painting of a ship at sea. That ship is the Dawn Treader, and on board is Caspian, King of Narnia. He and his companions, including Reepicheep, the valiant warrior mouse, are searching for seven lost lords of Narnia, and their voyage will take them to the edge of the world. Their adventures include being captured by slave traders, a much-too-close encounter with a dragon, and visits to many enchanted islands, including the place where dreams come right. The adaptation is faithful to its source, C.S. Lewis’s series of Narnia books, which have provided exciting and uplifting tales for generations of children. BBC Radio does wonders with sound effects–the ship creaks in the wind, the sorrowful dragon roars lugubriously–and musical cues and interludes that keep the pacing dynamic. There’s also a splendid cast of plummy British voices, building this far more than a book read onto cassette–it’s an audio drama, as enjoyable as a trip to the theater. Grownups who buy this tape for their children will want to borrow it for themselves. (Running time: two hours, two cassettes) –Blaise Selby

This is book five of the “Chronicals of Narnia” series and our writer never fails to keep the excitement going on.
Although that aspect of fun and dance does not even come close to the books Salvatore wrote, namely “The Icewind Dale Trilogy” and “The Legacy of the Drow” and any additional of that authors writings it is still an exciting book, but meant for younger ages.
The writings continue with some adventure, there isn’t ever too much action, except in some of the different battles throghout the book. It is more keeping people in suspense about what is going to take place next.
I would recomend this book to younger peoples, but some of the older ones might find it appealing too.

Unlike the additional Narnia books it seems the children can’t take two steps lacking requiring divine intervention.
time and again one of the characters ties to do something completely crazy such as willingly casting a spell which will ruin Narnia (for personal gain) untill Aslan appears in some form to
change their minds.
I loved all of the additional books in the series (would rate them as a 4 – 5), with the exception of the Last battle which having
peeked yet to be i chose not to end, as to me it would have been a most depressing end to a fantastic series.

Which is the best Narnian chronicle? Couldn’t start to choose just one, even if my life depended on it. Each has such a high level of craftsmanship; each has such a broad scope of imagination.
But, one unforgettable scene in THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER must arguably rank as the best of the entire series – when Reepicheep the mouse continues the journey into Aslan’s country alone, not with dread but with fantastic longing and tremendous courage.

In the 5th book of the Narnia series, “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” our adventure starts, when Lucy, Edmund and our new friend, Eustace are brought to Narnia and are taken aboard the Dawn Treader. Some familiar faces on the boat include Caspian, Reepicheep and Drinian.
On there quest to the end of the world, or the “Far East” they are looking for the lost friends and lords of Caspian’s Dad. But they are slowed down by magicans, darkness, stars, dreams, lilies, dragons and Duffelpods. With, of coarse the help of Aslan, the Lion along the journey.
But will they reach the end of the world? Can they find the lost lords? And what surprise is waiting for Lucy and Edmund at the end of the tale? ~It’s all coming, but only on the mistical voyage of The Dawn Treader!!!

The two older children from the additional books have been agreed the arse from Narnia as they are now too ancient and dull to be allowed back. Different rules for lions, it seems.
Anyway, the two younger are staying with an annoying cousin, and end up on a ship with Caspain, now a king, and a talking rodent.
Ship quest time.
