I reflect it is weird how we permanently cling to what Dr. Sears has to say. He is a doctor just like the doctors that really take a stance and say vaccines are harmful. Yet we scrutinize the doctor who states the truth and praise persons who either stay neutral because it is too controversial or say to vaccinate because there isn’t enough evidence. How many children must be harmed before there is enough evidence for doctors to take a stance against vaccinations. At least I know my child won’t be another statistic among persons harmed by vaccines. I hope your’s isn’t either.

I like the Sears family tree books and am looking forwards to this one. But, how have persons of you who reviewed it read it? It isn’t unrestricted in Pennsylvania yet.

DR SEARS PUTS IT ALL OUT ON THE TABLE THESE ARE THE RISKS ARE TAKING IF YOU VACCINATE YOUR CHILDREN. SAYING THAT I DO NOT VACCINATE MY CHILDREN AND NEITHER DOES DR ROBERT SEARS. I THINK WHAT MAKES HIM A GREAT DR IS THAT HE GIVES ME THE CHOICE NOT TO VACCINATE MY CHILDREN. THE MAJORITY OF PEDIATRICIANS HIGHLY DISCOURAGE IT. ITS UP TO A PARENT TO DO THE RESEARCH AND DECIDE FOR THEM SELF. SO DONT LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR DOCTOR SAYS DO THE RESEARCH YOUR SELF, AND I ALSO RECOMMEND READING THE BOOKS THAT THE ABOVE COMMENT SUGGESTED. I JUST PRAY THAT DOCTORS AND SCIENTIST OUT THERE DO FIND A SAFE WAY TO VACCINATE OUR CHILDREN BECAUSE THE SAD BOTTOM LINE IS: IT IS BECAUSE OTHER CHILDREN ARE VACCINATED THAT I DONT HAVE TO VACCINATE MINE. SO IF EVERY CHILD DID NOT GET VACCINATED WE WOULD HAVE THOSE TERRIBLE CHILDHOOD DECEASES ON THE RISE.

This is an unfortunate attempt to exploit the panic and dread regarding childhood vaccinations. The leader has done no scientific studies himself and selectively references studies that are poorly done or taken out of context. He also suggests intricate vaccination schedules that have not been researched to demonstrate their efficacy or lack thereof. I suggest every physician who is struggling with parents refusing to protect their children by vaccination read this book (get a used copy) in order to counter Dr. Sears opinion. The CDC and AAP have much better information on their websites regarding vaccines, and I refer parents to persons sites for information as well as handing out a comprehensive information booklet to them. This is yet another economic exploitation of the Lunatic Fringe.

It is permanently excellent to have fantastic minds come together to review research on vaccinating chilfren, weighing the benefits versus the risks of vaccinating children. Luckily, there are the greatest minds in the area of vaccines that serve on the: CDC, AAP, AAFP, ACIP. These are scientist that know the devistating results that can occur if you chose not to vaccinate your children against diseases that at one time claimed the lives of many. That is why they serve on committees such as these, because they want to make proper recommendations for children. They are not conspiring to kill kids or to give them autism. They care about public health and know the outbreaks that can take place when there is not herd immunity for a disease (for instance flu and pertussis in todays time). All of these fantastic minds in the area of vaccination have continuously reviewed te data and information based on the best science that they have in front of them at that time. And these fantastic scientific minds came up with a vaccination schedule that takes into consideration the risks and benefits of vaccinating your children. Yet one man, who stands to profit from the sales of this book I might add, comes up with his own “alternative” schedule which preys on the fears of people who don’t know what meningitis, HIB, Hep B, etc can do to the live of persons who become infected with and suffer from the disease. And to my knowledge, he is not even currently practicing in the area of Pediatric Medicine. Could it be from profits of his book sales??
