I tried to get through this book because it had fantastic potential, but I gave up about half the way thru. I was hoping for more on the Sci-Fi side and less on the Christian fiction. Maybe it got better, but I’m not leaving it on my Kindle.

While the tale line had a lot promise, it did not keep my interest and I never managed to end. Shadow and Night started slowly, selected up slightly, and then slowed again, this time to a near halt. While the tale did renovate, it felt more like the leader was trying their best to extend the tale beyond what was originally a couple of chapters before resolution.
I am sorry to say that I never will figure out what was happening or how it resolves.

Have you ever had a book that just resonated with you? One that you loved so much you didn’t want it to end? The Shadow and Night (The Lamb Among the Starr) is this book for me. I’m a ex- English teacher and only two additional books have affected me so very much: To Kill A Mockingbird and The Once And Future King.
I didn’t even know that Christian Sci fi existed, much less that it could be so moving. I have been recommending this book to everyone who will listen. The characters are Every man and woman, and their fall from grace familiar. The settings are so perfectly penned that I felt pictures being drawn in my mind. If you want a plot synopsis, read another post…I’d rather tell you that you will be stirred by this tale. You will reflect about it long after you’ve finished it, and you will want to read the third book in the trillogy, The Infinite Day. The moral lessons it inspires will encourage you to be a small bit better tomorrow, AND these lessons will be in a wonderfully told way.
Simply place, you must read this book if you like sci fi and fantastic writing.
