Just thought I’d inform fellow customers that I ordered a hardback book and received it lacking the take in jacket.

Wow, I can’t judge the reviews have been so favorable for this writers books. It’s as though people just stop thinking for themselves. Let me save you 15 bucks. Down w/ capitilism, people who make money are terrible. No mention that, perphaps, it’s government interference and manipulation of fiscal programs around the world that cause corperations to act as they do.

More of the same rant from the first book, but with more self-pity: America and capitalism is terrible, anyone who opposes America or capitalism is excellent. No personal responsibility admitted, just throw rocks at persons you disagree with. I could not make it through to the end, I can’t find it in me, to embrace that much despise. Does the world need more of this despise-filled crap? Save your money (if you must spend your dough, buy something that will evoke excellent feelings).

John Perkins writes very superficially and opinionated. To me, it looks like he’s drawing that picture people use nowadays to distinguish themselves according to the current trend:
The US guys are the terrible ones, all the additional guys are the poor, suppressed excellent guys. Example:
He’s got the nerve to cite a Turkish person who blames the US for their inhuman policies – while Turkey has one of the most inhuman incidents in their recent history as well as right now!
In the end, Mr Perkins pushes really hard to make himself appear the nice guy who does everything to save the world. Towards the end of the book, he even starts talking about the climate change – to please everyone.
I’ve lived and worked in different countries, far from the western civilization. Persons people are no better, and no worse than us from the West.
