The #1 international bestseller! This 40-day spiritual journey will help you know why you are alive and God’s incredible plot for you both now and for eternity. Winner of the Gold Medallion Book Award and Christian Book of the Year Award.Amazon.com Review
The spiritual premise in The Purpose-Driven Life is that there are no accidents—God plotted everything and everyone. Therefore, every human has a divine purpose, according to God’s master plot. Like a twist on John F. Kennedy’s legendary inaugural take up, this book could be summed up like this: “So my fellow Christians, question not what God can do for your life plot, question what your life can do for God’s plot.” Persons who are looking for advice on finding one’s calling through career choice, creative expression, or any form of self-discovery should go elsewhere. This is not about self-exploration; it is about purposeful devotion to a Christian God. The book is set up to be a 40-day interest plot, recognizing that the Bible favors the number 40 as a “mentally significant time,” according to leader Rick Warren, the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake jungle, California, touted as one of the nation largest congregations. Warren’s hope is that readers will “interact” with the 40 chapters, reading them one day at a time, with wide underlining and writing in the margins. As an inspirational manifesto for making a more worshipful, church-driven life, this book delivers. Every page is laden with references to scripture or dogma. But it does not do much to take up the challenges of modern Christian living, with its competing material, professional, and financial distractions. Nonetheless, this is probably an brilliant resource for devout Christians who pine for a jumpstart back to worshipfulness. –Gail Hudson

Listen i don’t care what your opinion is on christian books. My question is why the heck are you reading them to start with. You sit on your High and Holy Mountain of Philosophy holding onto the human delusion that your postion of Atheism is above skepticism while at the same time wraping yourselves in the warm security blanket of evolution to give you at the least a theory to your exictance. While evolution has more holes than swiss cheese it is more simple to except than the thought of a Personal God. While I haven’t read the book so far from the first chapter of “The Inside Look” here on Amazon.com it seems to be teaching a Message of Like and that is permanently a 5 star ideology.

I haven’t read the book yet but know the principles behind it. But I marvel why an proud jerk like Donald Trump can be agreed so much while others have so small. Where’s the justice? Still, any book that provokes people to get closer to God has to help our society become more civilized.

I haven’t read this book, but I was struck by the publisher’s description, which paraphrases the leader’s belief that “God plotted everything and everyone”. Wait a minute – God plotted the Holocaust? God plotted Joseph Stalin? God plotted AIDS, 9/11, the Rwandan genocide (to name but a few recent attrocities)? I marvel what God’s purpose was in building millions of innocent people suffer and die prematurely. This God person (deity? supreme being? fairy tale?) sounds like a real jerk!

Purpose driven life? After thousands of years, men in particular still don’t seem to grasp the purpose of life on planet. They were supposed to care for the planet and live in harmony with the universe. They clearly chose not to, preferring conquests, war and destruction as a replacement for. Now they have karma to reap for their being throughout history. This book is far to small too late — there is no hope for men in particular at this point in time. It’s all moot.
All the signs are there, that the end of the road is straight up yet to be for mankind. You don’t have to be a visionary to read the signs that mankind is nearing the end of its rope on planet. Mankind doesn’t have any significant amount of time left on planet and biological evolution is moot from here on out. It’s not a question of whether man will one day be extinct, it’s only a question of when.
Right before the extinction, men have grown incredibly arrorant about themselves and ever so greedy. They have really provided a right depiction of their foul scenery in all their delusions of granduer for what they are.
For every world war that’s been fought, for all the Ghangis Kahn murderer’s throughout history, for every Dennis Rader serial murderer who hides behind a religious veil of his right scenery — it’s all nearing an end. Men have clearly proven themselves to be the vile stink of the planet who failed to live in harmony with scenery and the planet, preferring to ruin and conquer everything as a replacement for.
For anyone whose ever studied history, it must be as clear as day where men are headed. Nowhere. All they have ever had is women to use and abuse along the way, to demand they “obey” them. This is all about to change. Men are about to be thrown into the black hole of extinction they have made far too early for themselves. They’re headed for a vortex vacuum where they will no longer be able to ruin, control or have any power over anything. Their greed, their endless lust, their warped sense of justice and reality, is all coming to a quick close where they will stop to exsit, let alone evolve.
Even scientists are so frightened after having studied the evidence of what’s happening in the universe that they are looking for wormholes in order to travel to a “parallel” universe to escape. They’ve learned that our universe will one day be an absolute dark, empty, nothing, as the expansion from the huge bang will continue forever into a huge black void. There is no disputing it, the universe is going to expand forever into a hopeless situation. Out of desperation, physicists theorize there must be additional bubble universes that exist they could possibly escape to.
Far from the time when the universe is empty, in the very near future, men will have their ability to survive taken from them. Everything is about to be taken from men, including their women. Men are nothing. They are absolutely nothing, and their history will be erased on planet as if it never existed. One day all man made on planet out of arrogance, greed and power will all be turned to dust. Everything ever written will be gone and remembered by no one, there will be no means for the human brain to process any information to interpret for any purpose. Mankind will one day simply stop to exist – that’s a fact. So here’s a toast to the future of men and their destiny — extinction. They earned it. They deserve it.

The book has questioned the right question. It is right why the intelligent human being in on planet… what for…
Eat… reproduce and die…
Life is too fleeting as compared to the life of universe..
Life has should have purpose…
Am I born to grow… get loan from bank for the necessity of life and rest of life is dedicated to return the money…
This is not honest…
Where is the answer?
Let me say not . only Christianity… Why not see additional religion… I find more convincing answer in additional religion such as Islam…
