Product Description
In The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution, readers will follow the Supreme Court as it uses the Constitution as a fig leaf to take in its blatant seizing of the people’s right to govern themselves through elections. Gutzman unveils the radical inconsistency between constitutional law and the rule of law, and shows why and how the Supreme Court should be reined in to the proper role assigned to it by the Founders.

I got this book due to reading another book in the series and I was disappointed. It does have a excellent background on the Constitution and how it has been corrupted, but no real solutions on how to right it. I would of agreed it a privileged rating, but I have my reasons not to.

The fact that Gutzman talks about President Buchanan not having a chance of being re-elected in 1860 stunned me since Buchanan made it clear from the beginning that he would serve only one term. Such an error on such a basic fact calls into question what else he may have gotten incorrect.
The book is a excellent introduction on the juduciary running amuck but I wouldn’t want to rely on it for a comprehensive understanding of what has happened to the Constitution.

The book would have had more impact and credibility if the leader had stated facts lacking his bias so blantantly obvious. There are some valid points and excellent information in the book to consider, but many statements are so cynical and prejudiced that it takes away from the book. It was worth the money and time I spent reading it, but I quiver to reflect what the United States would be if this leader was in control.

I delight in the “politically incorrect guide” series, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a copy of this book on sale at the Seattle airport three days before the publication date. While I like the concept of a “politically incorrect” (i.e., conservative/libertarian) treatment of the Constitution, I establish the execution uneven and reasonably dull at times. Don’t get me incorrect – there’s material here worth reading, but the style of this book simply is not on a par with the additional books in the series, which I establish to be more lively and engaging.

I generally loved this book for showing a much different view of the Constitution than is giving by traditional history books. But, I felt like the leader had a real ax to grind with anyone who modified the constitution beyond what the founding father’s had written. Times change, get over it.
