The New York Times best seller now in mass market paperback!
Captain Deudermont has sailed to the pirate city of Luskan on a mission–a mission to once and for all defeat the right power behind the corrupt city: a wicked lich and his cabal of evil wizards from the Host Tower of the Arcane. But the Host Tower has some tricks up its sleeve, as do the pirate captains who want to see both sides fail.
This is MUST READ for even the most casual fan of the Legend of Drizzt(R)!

After waiting for the item to be shipped I was told that the vendor did not really have the book and had to cancel the order.

Book came quick as promised in perfect condition. The book itself was probably the worst Salvatore has written and I have read all of his barring his Vector Prime Star Wars Series. It was extremely dull and slow to renovate, in fact it never developed and spent the entire book following Drizzt’s and Regis’s inner turmoil with absolutely nothing to show for it. If a name were to question me what this book was about I would be hard pushed to tell them. Bob, come on man I know you can do better. If you are tired of the Dark Elf series’ kill them off or end it already but please don’t write agonizingly dull novels like that anymore. That might have gone straight to paper and still been overpriced

The Pirate King is easily one of my favorite Drizzt novels. The plot was well paced, the dialogue was smooth, and R.A. Salvatore takes his signature fight scenes to new intensive heights! I’m not going to tell any spoilers to anyone who hasn’t read the book. But what I will say is that the twist at the Pirate King’s denouement will place loyal Forgotten Realms readers hungering for the trilogy’s next-and final-installment.

I bought this for my boyfriend. It was a lot cheaper than I had establish it anywhere else. Thanks!

In waiting for this book, I had built up some high anticipation of new adventures, fantastic battles, and further exploration into the life and times of the main character, Drizzt Do’Urden. I was, sorry to say, reasonably disappointed after reading this book. In fact, if one did not ever read this book and skipped to the next book in the series, the reader would miss very small, if anything regarding Drizzt.
This book is another example (sorry to say, there is at least one additional book in the series) of what I term “literary fodder” – it has small value in progressing the main character and/or tale about the main character. It is not even a fantastic adventure tale. Too, too many pages are devoted to tangential characters and not Drizzt.
Like many readers and fans of Drizzt, I wish again for any new tales to be fantastic tales regarding this fantastic character (first and foremost)!
