When the midnight calls come in from the hospital, no one is prepared for the appalling truth: Emily is dead at seventeen from a gunshot wound to the head as part of an apparent suicide pact. I read this book twice just to make sure i didn’t miss anything the first time. It kept me coming back to see what the characters would do next!

the book was listed as “very excellent” condition wise, but arrived with most of the pages with large diagonol creases in them. it could have been more acurately labeled, although shipping was quick

I cannot judge that this book has an overall rating of 4.5 stars. If you find yourself enjoying this book, you seriously need to take a creative writing or basic english class.
Absolutely horrible writing on par with a high school english class, at best. Very cliche and humdrum writing style; it seems as if phrases are recycled throughout the book as well. Also very overdramatic and, in no way, is this realistic. Furthermore, there was really no development of the characters.
I honestly could not sit through more than 3 pages of this book lacking having to set it down and take a break. I WANT to like this book, but I can’t.
Perhaps one of the most poorly written books that I have read in the last 5 years.

Ok, let me start by adage this…I like reading books. Especially books that really touch my soul. This book, although the tale was very well thought out and it does trigger certain emotions in you, it is not one that i have loved reading. Yes, i cried at the end, cried for the characters and for what they lost (life, like and lifelong friendship, on everyone’s account) but did i delight in to read it. NO! Personally, i like positive books, ones where i can smile at the end. This book made me mad. Of course i was pleased with the end result of the examination, but i was very upset and mad with how the lives of the characters turned out.

OK, sure, a whole string of fives and then comes my three. Don’t get me incorrect, I’m not dogging the book in terms of content, writing, or flow, but I do have a problem with the f-word or similarly offensive words being used on every additional page. This could have been a fantastic book if the leader didn’t virtually jab the reader in the side with a branding iron by slapping the reader an unnecessary use of profanity. The end result is the reader attempts to relax, and delight in the book, but just when that starts to take place……. *smack* out of nowhere there’s another one. It’s enough to place the reader on edge, and it does. Please subtract two stars for me. I really wish I could have agreed this book full inscription. It cudda been fantastic.
