This is one of the largest mistakes in all of publishing history. This guy calls himself a professor or television journalism?

Thanks for nothing. Tell me something that everyone on the planet doesn’t know. The only point in this book worth mentioning is that lots of the food we eat comes from corn. I could have done 5 minutes of research online and learned every single fact in this book. Get a brain, moran.

I was disappointed that the book was offered for buy, but several days later, I was informed that I would reeive a refund because it was not available from the vendor. No offer was made to suggest the book from an alternate source. I had permanently assumed that if a book was listed, it would be available, and that the listing would be removed when there were no more to be sold.

Why bother reading a book that starts with the premise that humans are omnivores? Many experts judge humans are herbivores-search Google, you’ll find many qualified articles on the theme. There are no “dilemmas” for herbivores-eat whole, plant based foods. And live a very long, vigorous life. The science is clear-it’s pop culture that’s confused. Read The China Study or Diet for a New America.
The way to excellent health and a vastly improved environment could not be simpler or clearer:remember the four food groups; 5 servings of whole grains, 4 servings of veggies, 3 servings of fruit, 2 servings of legumes. Live long and prosper…and have fantastic sex until your 90!

I’ve just ongoing reading this tripe and the leader is one neurotic SOB. What is his area of expertise? Television journalism. Jeez, I don’t even know where to start. We need to have “guilt-free” food because of people like Mike, but does the koala he mentions ever reflect about the eucalyptus it eats? Thank God, no, and the leader now wants us to reflect even more about our food as a replacement for of enjoying the gift. Now we have to marvel about it in every aspect. So how many of us would this place support if we all had to go out & shoot wild boars for dinner? Certainly not 3 billion, so let Mike Pollan “take one for the team” and commit suicide so the rest of us can get on with our lives. Sorry, but I don’t eat McNuggets, so I don’t have to become a neurotic nut like Mr. Pollan. So he knows the name for corn; does that make him a botanist? I’m glad we don’t have to feed our dog the bones from our meal of wild boar. How about you? This is what we’ve become: we’re so well-off we have the luxury of feeling guilty about our diet. Maybe you’d rather be starving, or still hoping for that boar to wander by? Excellent luck! You’ve got one shot left, and it’s starting to snow….
