My book is a Modern Survival Manual based on first hand experience of the 2001 Economic Collapse in Argentina. In it you will find a variety of subjects that I consider essential if a person wants to be prepared for tougher times: -How to prepare your family tree, yourself, your home and your vehicle -How to prepare your finances so that you don’t suffer what millions in my country went through -How to prepare your supplies for food shortages and power failures -How to correctly fight with a chair, gun, knife, pen or choke with your bare hands if required -Most vital, how to reach a excellent awareness level so that you can avoid having to do all that These are just a few examples of what you will find in this book. It’s about Attitude, and being a more capable person and get the politically right wimp out of your system completely.

At $25, this book is expensive, poorly written and edited. It failed to meet my expectations of economic crisis preparedness education and while I got some information from the book, it could have been a lot better.

Pros…the book has a more realistic view point on modern survival and it’s a very disturbing life. It helps you with tips on what type of gun to get and things to get but….
The problem is that you will need support from you spouse and family tree to prepare for such a collapse. The best solution would be to go out of the country and live somewhere else…after all, how many people in the US felt the pain and suffering in Argentina during 2001…we in the US were all ears on 9/11. But trying to convince your spouse to live in a cheaper third world country where there is poor water sanitation and less luxuries then what we have now in the US is very very hard to do. Trying to spend family tree funds on extra food supplies and guns during this time is hard when so many family tree members can’t or won’t see the clues.
We also have Fema camps, coffins, and graves so your stockpiled fortress won’t be useful if the military drags you to one of these camps. Make sure you get right with Jesus.

Luckily, I wasn’t looking for a feel-excellent book where everything worked out fine in the end. This book is a stark, first-hand account of the 2001 economic crisis that occurred in a country that loved an American-style standard of living. Thus, the descriptions of what transpired as a result of the collapse can be all-too-easily envisioned right here at home. The book is a bit heavy on weaponry and combat skills, but that is the current reality for the leader. I will take his advice gladly, rather than having to learn the way he did. I especially like the list in the back where both he and his wife clarify what they wish they’d bought and/or stocked up on before the crisis hit.

The leader of this book really lives in Argentina and has witnessed first-hand how a society adapts to a major financial crisis and hyper-inflation. In telling this tale, he debunks many of the traditional survivalist concepts and offers a fresh perspective.
One major prepper strategy has permanently been to have a “bug out” location well away from population centers, fully stocked and ready for you to haul ass to in case of an urgent situation. The leader of this book clarifies why this is not excellent advice for most people with a couple of reasons– 1) even in a major crisis, you will need a way to make a living and your job will not wait for you while you are holed up and 2) you are likely to be unable to defend your remote location and will end up a sufferer or torture victim once any roaming gangs find you and choose to steal your supplies.
There is a TON in this book about self defense, and he makes common-sense opinion about the usefulness of handguns (he says GLOCK) and also folding knives (he likes COLD STEEL) and the absolute importance of self defense training.
Finally, he talks at fantastic part about the survival mindset that has allowed him to remain alive in Argentina. It is a state of awareness of your surroundings and much more. In some ways it is like defensive driving, permanently assume the additional guy is ready to do something really stupid and treacherous to you and act accordingly.
This book needs to be read by anyone who is interested in urgent situation preparedness.

As a replacement for of writing about what will take place, this book clarifies what did take place in Argentina. It gives many pratical examples of what to expect and what solutions worked best to deal with the situation.
