Amazon.com ReviewHow can you join the ranks of America’s wealthy (defined as people whose net worth is over one million dollars)? It’s simple, say doctors Stanley and Danko, who have spent the last 20 years interviewing members of this elite club: you just have to follow seven simple rules. The first rule is, permanently live well not more than your means. The last rule is, choose your occupation wisely. You’ll have to buy the book to find out the additional five. It’s only honest. The authors’ conclusions are commonsensical. But, as they point out, their prescription regularly flies in the face of what we reflect wealthy people should do. There are no pop stars or athletes in this book, but plenty of wall-board manufacturers–particularly ones who take cheap, infrequent vacations! Stanley and Danko mercilessly show how wealth takes sacrifice, discipline, and hard work, qualities that are positively discouraged by our high-consumption society. “You aren’t what you drive,” admonish the authors. Somewhere, Benjamin Franklin is smiling.

This book outright lists the “productive” ethnic groups in America, all of which are European only (i.e., Russia, Scotland, etc). It also lists millionaires as fitting a certain profile, such as being of European heritage, married with a stay-at-home wife. After reading these pages, I couldn’t continue.
I returned the book and got a refund because it offended me. I’m an unmarried female whose ancestors are not from Europe. It had no practical or useful advice that could apply to a broad audience.
The authors need a crash course in diversity. Millionaires span all backgrounds. If you don’t judge me, just question Oprah (who’s a billionaire)!

Although I have not read this book. In my opinion I reflect if you have a lot of money you can be a blessing to persons who are less fortunate. I know, i know you may say I got mine let them get their’s. but if you have ever been hungry, homeless, etc. and see the people how they are living with their families, some made a choice to be like that but so many did not. they were forced to live like that way, but never the less if you have a heart at all you will want to use it for humanity, and that makes a person feel excellent that they had that to give.It is excellent to be wealthy but it’s all in what you used it for. Sure you use it for you and your family tree, but also to bless persons who go hungry and lacking right here in the USA. Where is the heart of America we lost site of the right meaning of like. please print this that all may read. More people with money need to care . I am not adage that no one cares but more of the people who do have that kind of money to give need to help. In my opinion apt a millionaire is all right with me we all need to learn to make more money not just fro us and our 4. but to help. You feel so much better when you can and do.

An entire book to tell you that no matter how littls you earn, if you live like a bum, you can have a million dollars by the time you are in your mid 50s. Ever been divorced? You won’t make it. Lived in more than one house? Forget it. Live outside of the hood? Give up now. Thats the just of it. Now go buy a book worth reading.

This book point out what type of life millioaire live. But it criticize high income and educated people. You don’t have to be a bum to be a millionaire be a dotor pay off your loan buy a home with in your means have no debt and invest a proportion of your income. It’s that simple. You don’t have to be worried to make 200,000 a year or be a “ball player” just don’t be a constance consumer, save more then you spend(maybe I should write a book. lol)
