I am only quessing at a suitable rating since I just received this book and hastily paged through it to get the gist of its content. I can’t rate the book yet but I already know I have a problem. Why in the world didn’t this leader give us a pronunciation guide? I am trying to start this diet hoping it will please my spouse and help us both in weight loss and health enhancement. What do I say when he says, “What’s for dinner?”.

The book was in excellent condition. It seems to be very informative but I’m not sure if it is something I can follow. My taste buds don’t agree I should say.

Be aware that you may share this same experience if you download the book.
After the book was downloaded to my computer, I was prevented from printing past the first 60 pages due to properties designed into the file. The book is over 300 pages.
In order for me to receive a printed copy of the entire book, it will be necessary for me to have the hard copy sent to me.
Since I do wish to have the hard copy, I will reorder and pay the shipping and the cost of another copy of the book.

What bothers me about this book is the dietitian bias of the authors. Although they tout the Mediterranean diet, they incorporate non-Mediterranean foods such as salmon and the highly toxic canola oil. There is NO canola oil in the traditional Mediterranean diet!! In fact, canola oil is a toxic substance. Further the authors have a problem with saturated fats, because this is drummed into dietitians as being terrible, yet it is the very enigma that is behind the French paradox. It pays to take a very close look at the major industries that back the dietetic association to know the bias of these authors, including sugar growers, huge pharma, the margarine association, Sarah Lee desserts, and so into the world. The authors don’t even have the guts to aver that sugar is really very terrible for you. These biases make for sloppy work and off-the-topic comments and endorsements. Very disappointing. They do not represent the Mediterranean diet as well as could be.
