Product Description
When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.
Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve clogged forceful. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.
Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.
Thomas might be more vital than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

When I got a copy of The Maze Runner at BEA I was excited for all the hype! (Not only was the book being promoted but the leader himself was raving on and on about how GREAT it was.)
WOW! He sure has hell doesn’t know excellent writing..and clearly doesn’t know how to write.
The beginning of this novel was so dull I nearly stopped reading entirely. No character development, not enough NEEDED description and all around boringboringboring.
Sadly, I nearly permanently have to end the novels I start. . so I got myself through it. The only thing keeping me going was my terrible habit of permanently finishing novels and the {soon to be pathetic} plot. Hunger Games it is not!
Honestly. With a book THIS terrible.. you seriously shouldn’t be telling people that you wrote it. Not only is it embarrassing to watch a name brag about their own novel it’s just cocky and could turn people off {if the writing already hasn’t}.
Message to James Dashner: Dude! next time you want people to read your book..let your publicist do all the work. we don’t need you shoving how fantastic the book is down everyone’s throat. That, my friend {and everyone else} is what ruined this dreadful book the most for me.
so to end this not-so-friendly-review. DON’T READ THIS BOOK. unless you’ve just swallowed poison and need to throw up to get the terrible stuff out.

More thinly veiled Mormon ideology. Make sure you know what your kids are reading.

After reading The Hunger Games it was suggested I’d read The Maze Runner and that was fantastic advise! It was suspeneful and may have been a small confusing so if you struggle reading comprehension you could give it a go but try the sample first.
It is a fantastic book for sci-fi loving teens and older!
CAN’T WAIT FOR BOOK 2!!!
