This book is the largest waste of $[...]. First of all, it’s too huge and bulky to take shopping with you. Secondly, it expects you to wear a million clothes, I’m sorry but I don’t have that kind of money. Finally, some of the stuff they want you to wear may look like [...] on you. If you have a couple of thousands to spend on a new wardrobe, then buy the book and have a ball. If the only shopping bender you know of is at the local Goodwill (like me:) then spend that money on 4 pairs of jeans and 5 tops, trust me, you will be a lot better off.

The fee was certainly fantastic, but I didn’t realize the book would be in used condition. Both front and back covers appeared scuffed, and the lower edge was marked in black stable marker. But, because of the fee, it was a fantastic deal and certainly an brilliant resource.

This is not what I was expectng when I recieved this book and I mean that in a terrible way. The only thig I noticed this book has done for me is help me erect my wardrobe from scratch. Meaning putting a whole in my wallet. It gives me thoughts on what to wear with certain items I have in my closet and what kind of things I need in my closet… So far I got all the tops types listed in this book… next pants and jeans… hehe… but overall I dont really recommend this book… Ive just been trying to use this book the best way I can since I dont want to spend $ on the return for shipping and handling…

This book was written in 2003. That should speak for itself. The layout is cluttered and belabored with page after page of hideous, outdated clothes (Sequin camis are a “must”?!? For who, strippers?) with a few chic classics mixed in (reflect a beige drain coat like the one Igrid Bergman wore in Casablanca, but don’t expect them to reference any glam actresses).
They recommend every girl have at least two swimsuits. So, now I guess I know how austere I really am, somehow struggling by all these years with one. The points between ‘weekend’ summer dresses and ‘day party’ summer dresses go unexplained, but still, rumor has it that you should invest in two of each.
Plenty of tips on effective wear, but I’m a stay at home mom. My uniform consists of a yogurt-splattered t-shirt. Naturally this book is geared toward a more modern woman, and since they don’t take up this I will. Stay at home mothers – invest in gorgeous, drapey, comfortable, elegant nightwear. Keep the beaded details exiled to a loose rope or maybe to the slippers. This is the new nightwear, and it’s soft and sexy and easily comes off and comfortable for dozing off on the couch.

bought this book for the woman and she loved it. i usually have to go with her all the time to the mall and “help” her pick out stuff. after she got this book, she is comfy alternative out clothes herself now, which, lets me not have to look like a stalker leaning against the clothing racks for hours at a time. Thanks Lucky Shopping Manual.
