Seventeen year ancient Veronica “Ronnie” Miller’s life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father stirred from New York City to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains mad and alientated from her parents, especially her father…until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a ex- concert pianist and teacher, is living a silent life in the beach town, immersed in making a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable tale of like on many levels–first like, like between parents and children — that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that like can break our hearts…and heal them.

I bought these shoes for my boyfriend, and he liked them but about a week after he first got them the rubber emblem on the heel came off.

I ordered this book on or around Feb 7th, but it did not arrive until the 1st of March. I really had made an inquiry to Amazon as to how to proceed since my card had been charged, but still no book when I got an email from the sender adage it was on it’s way..the weather or some lame excuse was used. My card should not have been charged until the book really shipped. The book finally did arrive and is in excellent condition but I would not chose this vender again.

Every time I reflect of the dad dieing I start to weep. It was touching, heart warming, and, in no doubt, one of the best books I have ever read.

I HAVE BEEN READING N. SPARKS’S BOOKS FOR YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED THEM. THIS ONE, I DID NOT. A REAL DOWNER. I WAS ABLE TO FINISH IT BUT IT CERTAINLY DID NOT HAVE THE WONDERFUL WARMTH OF THE “NOTEBOOK”
A TRULY SAD SAD BOOK. THERE IS SO MUCH UNHAPPINESS IN THE WORLD TODAY THAT I NEED TO READ UPBEAT BOOKS OR AT LEAST LEARN SOMETHING.

I can’t judge I spent time reading this book! I should have stopped the minute I figured it out- very predictable. It was a disappointing read over this holiday season.
