I was so hopeful when I saw this book because of the title, but really, this book is pretty dry. It’s just another book that says the same thing that additional pregnancy books say. There’s nothing new about it. There’s no humor in it. And there’s certainly no joy in it. Save yourself some money and stick with another book. This one doesn’t add anything to what’s already out there.

This book is excellent and perfect if a c-section is not an option you will have to contend with. She gives through guidance in all aspects of pregnancy and manner of language except as it relates to a c-section. She fails to admit that some women need to have the procedure and are not going it as a matter of convenience or fetal distress. I was hoping for a description of the procedure so I know what to expect from my procedure (I have had prior abdominal surgery and my doctor has concerns of uterine rupture, if I go into labor). As a replacement for I got her c-section horror tale and judgment about women “choosing” the procedure to avoid the pain of labor. I was really disappointed in her treatment of the theme.

This item shipped quickly and was a pretty excellent read. It did have some information not included in some of the more well loved pregnancy books and was an simple read.

Although I had my babies over 12 years ago, I loved looking through this book and wish it was around back then. Tori writes the book so that you feel that you are getting realistic, helpful advice that you can really use. I like to give this to new moms and second time moms alike. It is so much more significant to today’s moms than persons additional outdated books that make you feel guilty for eating a bagel. Well done Tori!

How can this book be free on Kindle? Well, it is a fantastic thought and this book gives very nice advice for the mom to be and does not have the scary medical jargon that some of the additional books out there have. It also does not have the fake data that some of the additional book promote, scaring women. Another book that goes well with this is Hands Off My Belly: The Pregnant Woman’s Survival Guide to Myths, Mothers, and Moods.
