I like this small book. The recipes are quick and simple to make. Plus they’re tasty. I’m presently effective with some of the recipes to decrease the amount of grape seed oil in order to lower the calories-from-stout in some of the desserts to which I have developed an addiction!

I just place my copy into the trash. The recipes I made were very, very terrible. The “Double Chocolate Cherry Cookies” hit the trash. The recipe I got from her web site “Valencia Orange Cake” was off too – off taste and texture – yuk. I do a lot of cooking and baking and use quality ingredients ($$$). This is not a 5 star cookbook — I wish it was. Pretty book – failed results.

Prior to purchasing the Elena Amsterdam cookbook, I would have said I was an accomplished and veteran cook. But, I made several of the recipes in this book and establish each one not only inedible, but disgusting. They have small flavor, clog the throat, are soggy when grapeseed oil is used, and resemble no products I have ever seen or tasted.
I resent the cost of the book, the cost of all the supplies she recommended, and the waste of hours of my time.

I have to maintain a gluten free diet, but the rest of my family tree does not. Many of the recipes in this cookbook are favorites of my children and my spouse. The added bonus is that the recipes are nutritious, compared to some additional gluten free products and cookbook recipes which sorry to say contain too much sugar and not enough fiber. The leader also has a fantastic blog with additional recipes which can be establish at [...]

I bought this book and made some of the recipes in it and all turned out very terrible. At first I thought it was because I am new to cooking with almond flour but I also bought two additional mainly almond flour cookbooks at the same time and their recipes were really pretty excellent. I made the cheese crackers in this book…the ones she says her friends say taste just like Goldfish Crackers…don’t judge it for a minute. Mine went in the trash. The book has nice paper and the pictures are attractive but the food …at least what I tried was terrible, terrible terrible. I suggest you go to her website and try some of the recipes she has posted online before you choose to buy the book. I personally wouldn’t have the nerve to publish a book with recipes this terrible and place my name on it.
