Although I have yet to read this book I am a Celiac and I just read a write-up about it in Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The review states that the leader recommends Bailey’s Irish Cream as gluten-free, alcoholic beverage. Appealing, Bailey’s asserts that its product is not suitable for persons on a wheat or gluten-free diet. Let the reader beware.

I got this as we just establish out my daughter (8yrs.ancient.) has celiac. this book was more a personal tale and input for her own products. Did not get much info . from it that I could not find on my own for free and celiac web sites. Disappointed.

This book has some wonderful information on Celiac disease as well as brilliant recipes. One that I like is the all purpose flour (gluten free). I have used it to make pizza dough (wonderful) and a lemon squares desert(very tasty) and I’m going to try my favorite recipe for pancakes with it. I would recommend this book for anyone with Celiac desease looking for answers.

I have recently been diagnosed with a gluten intolerance. I realized that a major dietary change was going to be necessary, but I had no thought how to start. After purchasing this book, I’m back in control of my life. The leader has the expertise and experience; she knows her theme very well. I learned about wheat/gluten diseases, the differences between them and how to start coping with my “new” life. If I had any additional questions, websites were listed where I could find further help, support groups and sites where I could order gluten-free products and freshly-made meals (delivered)!
I highly recommend this book to anyone with questions concerning gluten or wheat-free living, whether it will benefit themselves or a loved one. You won’t regret it (I promise)!

I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease and this book was DEFINITELY a must read. I learned so much about the disease and what food products I will need to eliminate to avoid gluten completely. Jules practiced advice, tips, and recipes are a lifesaver to anyone eliminating gluten from their diets, whether for personal reasons or due to a positive diagnosis of Celiac Sprue Disease. The journey has certainly been simpler with the help from Jules book. A doctor may be able to tell you what to eat, this book helps clarify how to keep your normal life eating gluten free. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Jules E. Dowler Shepard for writing such an informative book.
