“Federal”, as in “federation” and “league”, relates to commercial entities and commercial contract. Keep in mind, the United States is not a country but a corporation with no jurisdiction outside it’s “ten mile square” district and the 18 enumerated functions of Congress Assembled (aka The United States).

An absolute must read or re-read by all Supreme Court Justices. An absolute must teach in junior high school.
The Federalist Papers demonstrate the quality of thinking by it’s authors and makes a case for classical education. These men thought about alternatives and had a view of history nearly unrivaled today. They helped set up a document that will be the model for civilizations 1,000 years from now. I am in awe of the clarity of thinking.

I was very keen to read this book as it contains valuable insight on the supreme law of our land. This topic really intrigues me and I bought this book as recommended by others. I could not perfect reading the book as it is so dull and filled with needless fluff from the original authors. That is a critigue apon the authors and not the current publisher. The book is well designed and serves it’s purpose well. If I were to completely read The Federalist Papers, this would be the source. But, Hamilton, Madison, and Jay are in my opinion horrible writers. I have never seen so many 50+ word rambling sentences in my life. You can condense each essay into a paragraph and receive the same thought and information. It is like a college kids essay that contains 10% information, and 90% fluff in order to meet the word supplies. Just now I opened the book to a random page and counted the words in a single sentence. Are you ready? 83, yes eighty three words in a single sentence. And that was a total random page selection.

Ever heard about checks and balances? Dick wants to take them away. Ever woundered if persons signing statements of George W Bush are unconstitutional? They are! The constitution of the United States of America is, despite the youth of the country, the oldest one in operation today. It is the oldest because it is the best. The federalist papers are a unique discussion on the principles of sound governement, the constitution as the most appealing conduct experiment in human history as Alexander Hamilton puts it. “It has been frequently remarked that it seems to have been modest to the people of this country, by their conduct and example, to choose the vital question, whether societies of men are really capable or not of establishing excellent government from reflection and choice, or whether they are forever destined to depend for their political constitutions on manufacturing accident and force.”(Paper No 1, Hamilton) Through its constitution and a handfull of patriots America has rose, against all odds, to become the most powerfull nation of the world. A nation that once more or less singel handedly saved the world from facism. A nation today nearly ruined, as once Greece was ruined, from sophistry and the ignorance of its own population. The Federalist Papers is an indespensible tool to reclame the governement and again make America the Becon of Hope and Temple of liberty for all mankind. This is the time for real patriots to step forwards!

Sorry, but it’s right. Fortunately, all the talk about democracy in America is all just speechifying. The United States is not, nor was it ever, a democracy. Don’t judge me? When was the last time you voted for a supreme court justice? Why do Texas and Rhode Island get equal representation in the senate (2 senators) when they’re representing such disproportionate numbers of people (furthermore, they used to be appointed by state legislatures rather than elected)?
The founders recognizable from our country’s inception that democracy was nothing more than tyranny of the majority. The federalists recognizable that the union of the states under the Articles of Integration could not hold. Additionally, they recognizable the opportunity they had to make a large power.
Read all about the Separation of Powers and the Checks and Balances devised by our founders (with props to the Frenchman, Montesquieu of course). If you want to learn about the foundation of America, the government of America, the meaning of America… THIS is the perfect place to start!
