What a fantastic book! The book is tiny enough to take along to the library yet filled with fantastic information. The chapters are laid out very well which makes it simpler to locate the info you need. There are tons of web sites listed that can help in research. The book lists free sites as well as paid sites. I would absolutely suggest this book as a tool in your genealogy research.

My son bought this book for me for Mother’s Day. I have been very pleasantly surprised with the quality of information in this book. I’ve been doing online genealogical research for 9 years and didn’t expect to find helpful information in a book. LOL Thanks to my son, this book has opened up a whole new area of research into our ancestors. I have read most of this book, did not end it because of new semester at college. Will end it when class settles down.
What I have read so far is very appealing. This book has chapter titles and subtitles and if you are doing genealogy for the first time, or not, I would highly recommend this book. Chapter 2 Start Backward and Chapter 3 Learn How to Search are to me the most vital start to genealogy.
The book has 4 useful guides to help you: questions? Answers to common questions, e-link Vital snipets of information, e-Alerts urgent warnings and Essenials qick hand tips. I am familiar with the leader, Kimberly Powell as I subscribe to her articles on a genealogy website named on the take in of the book and the articles have been very helpful to me.
