This leader has the very narrow minded view that there are only two types of people in the world, persons who are mad and persons who are suppressing their rage. I was looking for some guidance on how to cope with a name else’s rage, and my primary emotional problem is dread. I felt very much invalidated by this book, and was unable to end it. See Susan Forwards or Christina Crawford’s books for authors who are genuinely knowledgable and helpful about dealing with hard or treacherous people.

This book had some tales that were appealing about relationships, but some of them seemed to get out of the ‘rage’ theme. Well, the main theme is that there is a dance, namely a pattern in rage in relationships and that usually serves to take in additional hidden issues. The book gets kind of syrupy sometimes and that is why the 3 stars.

If you have already examined your life through any type of therapy, this book is not for you. I establish the information to be very basic – geared toward people who have no self-esteem, or voice. The basic premise is to take responsiblity for your rage, and to be assertive.

was just a bunch of tales and told me nothing I didn’t know already. It was okay as a one time read but not something you can read over and over. Might be excellent for some but I wasn’t impressed.

This book came highly recommended to me. While I do agree with some of the principals, some of them are a bit hard to swallow. I reflect there are better ways to deal with rage on a must more realistic level.
