This book is fantastic. I bought this when I couldn’t find The Largest Loser Calorie Counter, which I later establish only to find that this book is MUCH better. The products and items are a lot more point in this book. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t have the protein or fiber values, except for a couple of pages at the back of the book for only a fraction of the food items available in the book. But overall a fantastic buy! (The reviewer was compensated for posting this review. But, the opinion stated in the review is that of the reviewer and the reviewer alone. This book has a nice collection of places and is tiny for bringing with you on travel.
It would have been nice if it also included protein numbers.

At the start of 2010 I got serious about losing some weight. Like a lot of people, I’m in excellent shape, but I’m just carrying around too many pounds. In addition to starting a more regular and all ears exercise routine, I have ongoing watching exactly what I eat. To help me keep track of the calories and stout I intake, I wanted to get a calorie counting book. I finished up choosing THE CALORIEKING CALORIE, FAT, & CARBOHYDRATE COUNTER 2010. There are a few reasons I chose this book over the additional calorie counting books I looked at. First, it has colored writing with lots and lots of colorful pictures. The colors and illustrations make it much more appealing to look at than the standard black and white with no photographs of most calorie counting books. Secondly, the paper is a kind of high-quality glossy paper regularly used in TPB and graphic novels, so it’s more durable especially when flips through over and over and over. Finally, the main reason I chose this book over others is because in addition to all the additional foods, it lists the calories, stout grams, and carbs of nearly all items from quick food places. McDonalds, Burger King, Long John Silver, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and many, many, many additional places are listed. Not only that, but the book also includes the same information (as well as alcohol content) for alcoholic beverages. In addition to all of this, there is some really appealing information about eating well at the beginning and end of the book. In fleeting, this is the best calorie counting book on the market that I am aware. Highly recommended for anyone interested in counting the calories they intake.

Oh sure, I bought this to help me follow a nutritionally balanced diet. Protein isn’t listed. Sure the title is calorie, stout & carb counter but why not have protein as well?
Additional than that, it looks like a nice colorful guide if you don’t care about protein.

This is a full compilation of food products, restaurant selections and quick food choices. Just by flipping through the pages I was able to compare entrees I usually select at a favorite restaurant. Now, I will be choosing really different ones. What I thought were excellent choices were loaded with hidden stout and sugar. Now I read a section of the book each chance I get. I am getting smarter about food and the results show in my blood glucose levels – lower than they have ever been!
