Although the tale of Michael Oher is a gorgeous one, the book is not so much. I establish it confusing. I also establish it a bit annoying. I wanted to see his tale, not one that was laced with football history. I also felt that the leader’s writing was a bit confusing. Many a times I felt like… “huh?” I feel that had the leader written a bit more clearly, then the book might have been a bit better. Also, stick to the tale, that is what I wanted to read about. Michael Oher and the Tuohy family tree ~ God Bless them.

I really loved the movie. Sandra Bullock did a fantastic job and played one of best acting roles of her career. The tale line is heart warming and tells an incredible tale of hope, determination, and power. The tale reveals the harsh conditions and life of the Memphis projects and decay. Talent has is not constrained to the rich money culture. Talent can come from the harshest conditions and Michael Orr tale transforms the viewer into become one of his fans.
The villain in the movie is are the drug dealers in the projects.
The victim in the movie was Orr acquaintances, who attended a junior college but died from gun violence.
The foolish individual was the NCAA lawyer, who accused Orr of being bought as talent for ole Miss.
The power facts were the coach and school board.
Michael Lewis book, “Money Ball” highlights athletes, who are underrated and seem ordinary but are on a “hot streak”. The undervalued athletes seem ordinary but perform extraordinarily. Orr’s value as the left tackle threat transforming football and redefined strategies to protect the quarterback.
I hope Orr can avoid seeing and hearing the evil and continue to be an incredible example of greatness.

This was the second book I bought for my Kindle, and I was excited to read it.
Towards the end, I establish myself skimming the book. I reflect the book would have made a excellent article in Sports Illustrated, but it drags to some extent when it is expended to a couple hundred pages.
Most of you probably know the gist of the tale. A white southern family tree adopts and African-American boy, gives him all sorts of special treatment, and he goes on to play football in high school and then college.
While many see this as a heartwarming tale, I saw it as having a darker side. Would this kid have been adopted if he was 5′8″? Why are these two parents pushing this kid to play for their their college (which has a lousy football program.) How does this kid convert his F grades to As? When he commits a crime, why is he agreed only a slap on the wrist. The leader never critically examines the special treatment of athletes, but spends most of the time cheer leading.
The larger problem is that the book is too long for the theme matter. The leader needed about 100 pages to tell this tale. He extends the book by, for example, giving you the points of view of about 10 different coaches and scouts of Oher’s football talents. But, all the views are the same: He is huge, and he is powerful. I got it.
I am a football fan and was really expecting to like this tale. I didn’t

I had wanted to read the book, as I thought the movie was terrific. And, I wrongly assumed the book would simply be a more in-depth account of the movie. Incorrect! I am not a huge fan of football, and this book is certainly much more about football than the movie. But, I did read the whole thing, and overall I liked it. It’s still a fantastic tale but not to be confused with the huge screen version. If you don’t like reading about sports, you may want to avoid this book. But, if you don’t mind the sports center of it, and want to experience the tale from a different vantage point than the movie – this is a excellent book for you.

The book and the movie are both brilliant. Does not matter whether you’ve already seen the movie, you’ll
still delight in the book. A quick, satisfying read and you don’t have to be an NFL fan.
