Product Description
What’s the secret to apt a millionaire?
In The Automatic Millionaire, David Bach shares that secret.
The Automatic Millionaire starts with the powerful tale of an average American couple — he’s a low-level manager, she’s a beautician — whose joint income never exceeds $55,000 a year, who somehow manage to own two homes debt-free, place two kids through college, and retire at fifty-five with more than $1 Million in savings. Through their tale you’ll learn the surprising fact that you cannot get rich with a budget! You must have a plot to pay yourself first that is really automatic, a plot that will automatically secure your future and pay for your present.
What Makes The Automatic Millionaire Unique:
• You don’t need to make a lot of money
• You don’t need a budget
• You don’t need willpower
• You don’t need to be that interested in money
• You can set up the plot in an hour
This one small audiobook has the power to secure your financial future. Do it once — the rest is automatic!Amazon.com Review
Despite its sensational title, David Bach’s The Automatic Millionaire: A Powerful One-Step Plot to Live and End Rich is not a get-rich-quick guide. Rather, the book is a straightforward march through common-sense personal financial preparation that suggests readers “automate” their contributions to retirement and investment vehicles. Bach, in fact, calls his model the “tortoise approach” to apt wealthy by retirement age.

Please don’t take this review as a knock on any of Bach’s works; in fact, I read The Richest Man in Babylon some time back and thought it was a basically excellent book that offered sound advice. The problem I have with The Automatic Millionaire is that it is essentially a collection of tips that I’ve heard on a number of financial preparation shows over the years. Unless you’ve been living under a rock and not paying attention to any of the many financial preparation programs on TV and radio these past several years the fact is you simply don’t need this book. The core message of the book is that you can become an automatic millionaire if you essentially live like a miser. That’s not a startling revelation now, is it? I imagine Bach has himself become a millionaire from sales of this and his past books and I’m sure that if you follow the principles in The Automatic Millionaire you might really become a millionaire. The question is whether you’ll live long enough to delight in the results of your efforts. Save your money and watch more CNN/FN as a replacement for.

After reading this book I can only conclude that the only person getting rich or will get rich is the leader. Very sad.

This is the worst financial preparation book I’ve bought. There are much better books. Giving advice to buy a home on a 30-year term as a replacement for of 20 years, and on top of that using between 29 and 41% of your disposable income for the down payment is looking for BIG distress. It is much safer to use 25% of disposable income for the down payment.
What urgent situation requires 6 to 24 months of urgent situation money? Rather overpay as regularly and as much as you can on your mortgage loan. You can permanently access this money in an urgent situation. People effective for commission or who don’t have a regular job are the only people that should erect an urgent situation fund.
AUTOMATIC – Yes, for people who don’t possess any discipline. I like to be in control of my money and WANT to be active in its management. That is why I choose to pay myself first the minute my pay is in my bank account. It involves consciousness, unlike the unconscious choice to let some additional party do your work. It gives me a lot of satisfaction doing my own thing – feeling that I am in control all the time.
I suggest reading The Wealthy Barber by David Chilton.
