The book starts out with some shady advice (eat/drink exactly what you’re burning during exercise!?) Then proceeds to offer some recipes that may be healthy but I don’t really know. That’s because the recipes DON’T HAVE NUTRITIONAL INFO! Of course I could do the math, but that’s why I gave you my money, for tasty recipes that would allow me to count the types of calories that I’m eating. I would not recommend this book for persons 2 reasons (terrible advice, no nutrition info), but the food seems excellent and there are some excellent recipe thoughts that I’ve been able to try out with some success.

Bought this book for Xmas for my daughter who is training for an triathlon later on this spring. She likes it and wanted to sit down and read it straight away. She keeps on alternative it up to look at it. She already eats pretty healthy but this book gives her lots of knowledge and recipes. Defintely a keeper for anyone in training. Thanks!!!

When I read this book, I could not place it down. It gives you all the essentials for living a life not only to increase your nutritional awareness as an athlete but as a human being connected to the source of what food means to us and our total relationship to it.
It is not just about calories and nutritional content but to have a greater understanding that our “performance” has much more of a meaning than numbers. I have been playing sports since I was 5 years ancient and then ultimately on a collegiate level, if I had had this information then, it would not only have made “sense” to me but I could have integrated this knowledge into my lifestyle. Please read this book, delight in it, take it all in and try to know the connectedness of food, performance as an athlete and as a being. Thank you Adam!

My wife and I struggle to find simple to make, quick meals that are healthy and organic. With Mr Kelisons book we have establish it to be very real and very simple recipes that we can really make.
Its insightful, smart and very much “real” recipes that I can make. And I am not the best chef in the kitchen, if you know what I mean!
I appreciate the fun reading and I reflect this book is fantastic for powerful and non-powerful alike.
Buy this book for all the people you care about that need to eat healthy and quick. And make their own food.
