Product Description
Ever since our ancestors first set eyes on a woolly mammoth and agreed that it needed hunting, human beings have been building judgments about animals. The king cobra: That’s an A-plus animal. The garden snail? D-minus. On a excellent day.
In Animal Review, Jacob Lentz and Steve Nash give authoritative listings and ratings of dozens of your favorite (and least-favorite) animals. Expanded from their well loved blog, the entries mix fascinating animal facts with hilarious assessments, set off with brilliantly captioned photos and enlightening charts and graphs. It’s a perfect gift for animal lovers of any age, with sophisticated but kid-friendly humor and tons of appealing information.

This book is fantastic. It’s very amusing, very clever, and you find yourself learning crazy stuff about the animals that you thought you knew. And then laughing at the authors’ hilarious way of describing the physical attributes and behavior of each.
I’ll never look at pandas the same way again!

The “cats” are genius!!!! Some of the freshest and most amusing stuff I’ve read in a long time.
We need more excellent stuff like this. Looking forwards to the next round of grades!!!

Man, whoever woulda thought that a review of pros and cons of a multitude of animals would be hysterically amusing – AND teach something about the animals- but really tres amusant! Not me…. but this book changed my mind. I want to see lots more by these authors. About additional animals or anything else that strikes them as amusing! Like I said – absolutely delightful!!!!! Loved the book, and have bought it for friends, colleagues, relatives and others. A++++
I wanna see MORE by these two guys…..

I painstakingly loved this book. Filled with snarky humor, it’s a hilarious book. I can’t tell you how many times I laughed out loud while reading it. While there is some factual information open, it’s not so much of an attempt to educate, but a tongue-in-cheek commentary on animal and human behavior. It’s a fleeting book, but I only allowed myself to read a few “grades” at a time, because I didn’t want to end it too quickly. I passed my copy to a friend in dire need of a chuckle. It originated as a series of blogs, which is readily apparent in the fleeting reviews.

This is one of the most amusing books I’ve stumbled upon in a long time. Each chapter grades and excise a chosen animal in humorous yet factual detail. It’s too terrible they didn’t write text books like this when I was in school, because it would have made remembering things a lot simpler. I reflect this would be a really excellent inexpensive gift, too. I’m giving it 4 hooves up.
