I was really taken aback to see the view of additional cultures represented in this work. At some level, I know that peoples consciousness at the time was less enlightened but it was truly unnerving to see such blatant racism on spectacle. I suppose there was some value there in the past lesson, even if that wasn’t the intent of the leader. Dreadful!

Very excellent tale for children and aldult as well

This is the main problem with all foreign comics: translation. In the original language you get all the word plays and jokes that don’t really translate into any additional language. Reading it in English doesn’t transmit even half of the fun.

Being a long time fan of Tintin the 3-book volume was appealing, for economic reasons, and the size has not been cut-rate drastically enough to make it unattractive. But ‘Tintin in America’ was a disappointment. Compared to all the additional Tintin’s this is probably the most pathetic one (very very cliched, dull tale with too many unbelievable, even for Tintin comics, twists), while Cigar’s of Pharoh and Blue Lotus are on par with the others.

The book arrived in one piece, I mean, in excellent condition, but it took way too long! I won’t buy in this shop again.
