This book gives you a levelheaded direction to follow when trying so hard to instill in your children what you know are excellent long-lasting values but can’t permanently find the ‘child-friendly’ words or ways to deliver them. I’m reading this to my 3 1/2 year ancient. Yes….3….not 13. He understands language and has from a young age. So the reading is not above his level to grasp the message contained. The phrases used in each chapter as key notes of the message are ones that any child can remember.
This book is a much needed resource that enables me to talk about the various things I’ve tried to teach him but in a way that draws upon memorable characters, impressionable drawings and a perfect thought-provoking message. He has looked forwards to reading each chapter AND talking about the questions at the end of each of them. We are able to draw upon the tales and examples of each character as we go through our day….which in turn redirects our choices and therefore our results….happiness – this book is a ‘win-win’!

If Sean Covey’s name is on the book, I want it!!! Another fantastic piece! I am using it as a skill-building tool with third graders. Barbara King, School Counselor, Asheville, North Carolina

My seven-year-ancient daughter doesn’t regularly sit still, and nearly permanently questions, “how many more minutes?” when she’s reading for 20 minutes each evening. When she received this book, but, she read the entire book straight through. She has loved it.

As soon as we received this book in the mail, my kids were fighting over it. My eight year ancient has sat for hours reading and looking at the illustrations in this book. Not only is it appealing visually, but it also teaches excellent values. I highly recommend this book.

I bought this book after I was distraught with my 8-year ancient boy who kept complaining daily that school was “dull.” He loved the characters in the book and the tales and we chat about the questions. He especially loved the challenge of finding Ernie the worm who is in every additional illustrated page in the book.
