I like this beading/jewelry resource–the photos, the descriptions, the organization and explanations. The leader covers a lot of information, and the instructions and photographs are clear and simple to know for the most part. I didn’t give this book five stars because I finished up needing to buy a more basic resource with even larger photographs and clearer explanations. For example, after reviewing this book, I still didn’t know what tools I already had and what I needed or the differences between them. There are so many different types of pliers that I’ve needed to find more information. I also had additional questions about wire gauges and beads in all-purpose. I’ve also needed to look to additional sources for inspiration as this book may tell you what to do but not offer examples of what you can do with what you know. In sum, though, I reflect this is an brilliant how-to resource.

This is the second I’ve bought in this line of books (visually). They are very well open and made. I wish it hadn’t taken so many years for a publisher to come up with this thought.
These books are made so that you can re-make what the person is doing in the picture. It’s so much simpler to know than reading text, and looking at the finished pieces. I permanently struggled with instruction on wire wrapping and use of the pliers. These book are much more like effective with a live teacher than any I’ve read before.

This book contained all of the information I needed for basic jewelry building. It has been extremely useful to me, and I recommend it to anyone who wants a detailed and photographic overview of this theme!
