Be careful, I told my parents to buy this book for my birthday. Boy was I surprised when I received a 40 year ancient used pages missing book. My parents were surprised when they received the bill for a new book. So be careful, things are not as safe as they seem.

THIS DICTIONARY WAS OKAY. I BOUGHT IT AS A MEDICAL STUDENT THINKING IT WOULD BE USEFUL, IT WAS NOT. I GUESS IT WOULD BE USEFUL FOR PEOPLE OUT OF THE MEDICAL FIELD WHO WANT TO LOOK SOMETHING UP BUT WAS NOT USEFUL FOR ME.

When I order books for my daughter going to college time is of the essence. I am permanently excited to find a book provider that gets the product to me on time. I write that down for future reference. I still have one more child to get through college. I need a lot more books.
Sincerely, Jessie

Donald Venes, MD is NOT the leader of this revision, if it matters to anyone; he is the EDITOR!
Why can’t you get your attributions right?
Why don’t you care?
Why are you so sloppy?
Why does Amazon let you get away with such carelessness?
And, you don’t even have a tab for corrections for your mis-listings, only image comments.
Unbelievable!
How bloody arrogant!
If you can’t get it right in the first place, why should anyone want you to tell more people quicker?
That is not only stupid but you are aiding in building the readership equally stupid.
Idiocy likes company, I guess.
– sick to my stomach with this…

Am in the process of returning the book because it is missing pages 1677 through 1708. The wierd thing is that it doesn’t look like persons pages were removed; as a replacement for, it appears as if the book was made lacking the them; the binding looks forceful and all. Maybe the book is super rare — like a coin with a minting flaw…. Does anyone else have a copy of the 20th edition with persons pages, or others, missing?
PS. The book is absolutely terrific otherwise.
