I have to say I have not read this book, but I took a class from Mineko Moreno last night and she is delightful! The dishes she made were tasty. Who ever thought of handrolls with roastbeef and Daikon!! Not me, but I plot to serve it soon.

After years of my spouse asking me to learn how to make sushi at home, I learned Sushi For Dummies. Was I surprised when my spouse ongoing reading the book. Just as I thought he was going to give me a list of what recipes he privileged for me building, he said, “Let’s go to a sushi bar, I just read all about it and know what to do.”. So hats off and thanks to these authors for giving me a night out. But I can’t wait to make some of the fabulous sounding recipes at home, like Crystallized Ginger Creme Brulee, Sake Brownie Souffles, and Grilled Yellowtail Sushi Tamales with Spicy Mango Salsa.

If you want some excellent basic information on sushi and etiquette, this is a excellent place to start. I have loved reading it, I look forwards to using the recipes in it, too. The only problem with this book, it makes you hungry.

california roll was my first option and i followed the guide and now im in a pursued to get a excellent japanese knife which i got it for less then $10 here in amazon. hope it works fine but u need a very sharp knife additional wise u won’t have a clean roll because it gets messy.
