Dudley’s review gives it two stars, for me I give it 1 star reason is the content that is not in this book. The way the book is trys to convince you that this is a bible for survival and it is not! Finally there are better books out there for survival. Military manuals are fantastic becuase it is spot on! No bull! There are many soldiers using this information from the military manuals daily…..I better choice.

On “Survivorman,” Les Stroud comes across as a perfect idiot.
If I had anyone as inexperienced as he appears to be with me on even a weekend camping trip, I would murder him and take his fancy gear!
The few times I have been able to suffer entire episodes of his program I have been appalled by the exceptionally stupid things he does and am amazed that he has survived them at all.
Taking this man’s advice on survival is like taking Charlie Manson’s advice on how to get along in polite society.
If you’re really interested in extant in the wilderness, don’t listen to anything Les Stroud has to say, buy the official Boy Scout’s Handbook as a replacement for.

Les did a fantastic job with this book. The book like his show is the real stuff unlike the information from Man VS Wild show. The book Survive will help you to survive.

I like this survivorman program, because he’s honest and he keeps it real, just him and cameria, He doesn’t just show his successes he shows his failures as well. As well I have learned alot of survival stuff on my own the hard way, over the years since I was really young. I know enough to know that everything that Mr Les Stoud says you can depend on his book is a must have for any one. Realy nice thing is it’s so well written with pictures to help with his instructions this book is on some one with no survival training at all could pick up use. in fact I’d recomend getting this for each of your familly members, and the friends you care about, cause it a excellent book to carry with you can all times.
