Product Description
Succubus (n.) An alluring, shape-shifting demon who seduces and pleasures mortal men. Pathetic (adj.) A succubus with fantastic shoes and no social life. See: Georgina Kincaid.
When it comes to jobs in hell, being a succubus seems pretty glamorous. A girl can be anything she wants, the wardrobe is killer, and mortal men will do anything just for a touch. Granted, they regularly pay with their souls, but why get technical?
But Seattle succubus Georgina Kincaid’s life is far less exotic. Her boss is a middle-management demon with a thing for John Cusack movies. Her immortal best friends haven’t stopped teasing her about the time she shape-shifted into the Demon Goddess getup perfect with whip and wings. And she can’t have a decent date lacking sucking away part of the guy’s life. At least there’s her day job at a local bookstore–free books; all the white chocolate mochas she can drink; and simple access to bestselling, sexy writer, Seth Mortensen, aka He Whom She Would Give Anything to Touch but Can’t.
But dreaming about Seth will have to wait. Something wicked is at work in Seattle’s demon underground. And for once, all of her hot charms and drop-dead one-liners won’t help because Georgina’s about to learn there are some creatures out there that both heaven and hell want to deny…
“What an incredible debut novel! Succubus Blues is exciting, witty, sexy, intriguing and had me captivated from the first page.” –Cheyenne McCray, leader of Seduced by Magic

This book is supposed to be about a irresistable succubus who can shape-shift and seduce any man she wants and is required to by her demon handler. All she does throughout the entire book is whine about it and avoid every attractive man she meets. Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of being a succubus? Isn’t she supposed to seduce men to steal their souls or life force on a regular basis? Wouldn’t her demon handler object if she didn’t? Isn’t a succubus supposed to be evil? Overall the book is a perfect bore, including the subplot about a murderer of immortals, which takes forever to renovate. I’m really getting tired of these writers who are really writing adolescent romance novels under the guise of fantasy, horror or science fiction. They don’t seem to know a thing about demons or romance. By the way, who says a mere mortal couldn’t kill an immortal? Why not? Granted, it wouldn’t be simple, but a wizard or witch or a very smart, knowledegeable mortal should be able to do it. For some reason, which is never made clear in this book, the writer claims that it isn’t possible. Then why are humans considered so valuable to immortals? Do yourself a favor. Skip this writer and these books. She has no thought what she’s doing.

After reading every Lilith Saintcrow and Cheyenne McCray book on this type of theme, this book fell fleeting of my expectations.
I don’t know where the additional readers are finding all the “action” because I establish nothing rousing in this book.
For one thing, she did not fit any “succubus” concept I have read before. She was not into dreams or luring men. Really, the whole tale would have made it as a young adult urban theme, sans paranormal. The paranormal is hardly there.
Yes, they are called “vampires, succubus, angels,” etc., but they just live like anyone else. I establish myself forgetting the roles they were supposed to have. The “angels” seemed to have the most character development as far as the paranormal. I was also I bit startled by all the biblical stuff, but I suppose that is part of the succubus thought.
For a first book, I have to give the leader credit for this. I am being generous with the 3 stars.
But, I don’t reflect I will be reading any more by this leader. (No offense proposed.)

I loved this book from the first page. I have read so many paranormal books, that it is hard to judge that I establish a new twist in such a saturated market. That the leader could make both humans and demons likable, shows her incredible talent. A fantastic tale with really excellent characters. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
