I thought this would be a excellent book until I read the paragraph telling kids not the set goals too high and keep expectations realistic. I tossed it after that.
Shouldn’t kids be settting high goals for themselves and effective to achieve them? Even if the goals seem unrealistic, should anyone really tell a kid his expectations are too high?

I just ongoing reading this to my children who are 7 and 8 years ancient. They like it. I was amazed how they automatically ongoing following some of the tips in the book. Very simple reading for me, i’m not a book reader, and simple for kids to know. You can’t go incorrect getting this book. Delight in.

I highly recommend this book for any child that has an abusive adult in their lives. This book teaches a child what behavior is right and what is not. I have been reading it together with my son and last night we read how feelings are not right or incorrect. “Feelings just are.” This is just one of the many points the book talks about. It covers the same topics that you will read in an abusive relationship book for adults only written in a way that kids can know. This gives kids the tools to know terrible behaviors in adults and realize it is not them.
