This moron has rumor has it that chose that he doesn’t like all of the negative attention he is getting due to his published drivel. Negativity towards an adult who wants to make money off the emotions of your child is an apparent NO-NO. But-negativity towards your CHILD is an okay practice.
Your infant, child, kid, teenager and even your adult sons and daughters look to YOU to help them in all things they do in life. That is your job. You job does NOT include putting YOUR needs before your children’s needs at any age. Why in the world would infants and tiny children experience night terrors if you or a name around you didn’t cause them? Bed wetting in very FEW cases are really a medical problem and more regularly than not the cause of extreme mental, physical or sexual abuse.
If you envision your child growing up maladjusted, mad and hateful then by all means…this is the crap you need to know to achieve that. To place it simply-invest the time your child needs and deserves and stop putting your selfish wants first.

This book is a terrible buy, terrible program. Infants are not dogs, they do not need “trained”.
If you are a parent 24 hours a day, check out Dr. Sears. He has real, loving advice for help getting a baby to sleep.

This is an dreadful approach to parenting! Babies weep for a reason and to purposely allow your darling baby to scream and weep so you can “teach ” them to fall asleep is down right discusting.Ferber’s books should all be burned.

My wife and I bought this book after a few months of misery with our first child and it was the best thing we ever did. This book is my bible for child sleeping! I buy it for everyone that I know who is having kids and most of them like it as well. Ferber is KING. I wish I could personally thank him for the knowledge that this book has agreed me. Everyone tells us all the time how pleased our kids are and how fantastic they sleep…Thanks Dr. Ferber!!!
I see people struggle with sleep, or the people who won’t give Dr. F the time of day because they stereotype him as “the guy who makes you weep your baby to sleep”….they couldn’t be any more incorrect…or foolish. Dr. F. is the man…this book has been and will continue to be my reference guide as long as I have kids. READ THIS BOOK. If you have an open mind, and can stick to these plans, it will be the best thing you ever did!
I have so much respect and admiration for Ferber, I wish he would write something about the transition from crib to huge boy/girl bed because I am struggeling with that now…Anyway, FERBER is the MAN!!!!
