What a fantastic job from this young and rising star in the culinary world and a writer as well. Brilliant job for such an extraordinary mother , wife, and citizen of Memphis.. So impressed with the person, I bought the book for a gift, unseen. She really is a remarkable talent, and excels in anything she does. My mother really liked the book.. and knew her as well.. The pictures are fantastic and the recipes will knock you out..Congrats to such a wonderful person… and the world , a better place just because she is here!

Jennifer Chandler is an brilliant chef; I first met her when I took a cooking class from her at a local culinary arts center. This cookbook lives up to her reputation. It is accessible for every day people lacking being pedestrian. Tonight’s choice at our house was the Spinach Salad with Roasted Cherry Tomatoes–tasty and simple. (although I don’t know how you “shred” Maytag blue cheese!) It has a wide variety of choices and it’s well-edited and thoughtful. A fantastic gift for foodies and non-foodies alike.

I had selected up a copy of this salad cookbook at Tuesday morning a few years ago. It has incredible recipes that look like 5 star restaurant salads. The blue cheese dressing recipe is incredible and everyone who eats it at our house wants the recipe. I loved it so much that I mailed a copy from Amazon to my sister-in-law. Best $8 you’ll ever spend.

I LOVE ‘Simply Salads’! I consider myself a excellent cook, but my salads were nothing more than tossed or caesar. The ‘Cheese Tortellini Salad’ is yummy. The ‘Brown Rice, Corn and Grilled Vegatable Salad’ was a surprise favorite. But the best by far was the ‘BBQ Chicken Salad’. Need something quick and simple? Try the ‘Chicken Tostada Salad’. Some of her dressings were too sour for my taste, but could be easily altered. We’ve been building at least 3 – 4 salads a week from this book. Its the first cookbook I’ve bought in a long time that I’ve made so many recipes from. These recipes can be easily transformed into in excellent health dishes. I’ve subsituted low-stout sour cream, whole wheat tortillas and baked chips for a few of the recipes. I have already agreed this book as a gift for a fellow ‘foodie’. Delight in!

I bought this book at a small bookstore while on trip this summer. My sister and I like to have small get-togethers and cook for each additional, and both like salads. I made her a couple of recipes from this book, and she loved them so much, that she bought one for herself, and one for a friend of hers for Christmas too. I have since tried a couple more, both of which were also tasty. A wonderful variety of different types of salads and dressings, using everyday ingredients. This cookbook is a keeper.
